Chapter 26: Angels and Lucifer
To a certain degree, Octobun was right.
Charles wasn’t going to move his Queen because it was in such a perfect position.
There was a pawn in front of the rook, which meant it couldn’t directly attack his Queen.
The Bishop was on another lane, which made it impossible to make direct contact with Queen unless Queen goes out of its way to target the King.
So, Charles could only move his Knight to take out his Bishop.
Because the rook had moved one step to the side.
Charles decided to take down his Bishop. As soon as his bishop was down, the phantom of the bishop was also down.
Now, he had direct contact with Octobun’s other rook.
More importantly, if Octobun couldn’t move his King to take down his knight since it was in direct contact with the Queen.
Of course, he had a bigger problem to deal with.
The phantom of the knight launched another assassination move that destroyed one of his limbs.
"Argh!"
