The system screen hovered before Kai’s eyes as he sat on the ground, trying to catch his breath.
However exhausted his body may have looked, his mind was slaving away continuously—contemplating whether to continue to leave as it was.
’Even though I do have enough power to take them on, my body barely listens to my will... If taking a single goblin took such a toll, it might be the safest option to just leave as it is...’ he frowned his eyes as his mind raced.
It was a safe option indeed, but Kai seemed somewhat unsatisfied with such an outcome.
"System, I—"
Just as he was about to declare his withdrawal from the first trial, he stopped mid-sentence and lowered his eyes in disappointment.
’What am I doing? Give up? Just when I got the opportunity to improve my life... I wanna give up?’ he was deeply disappointed in himself.
