Chapter 38: This Elixir is Good!
That anxiety is intense. Even worse is being left alone in this room with nothing to protect me. Did she forget there are assassins after me, wanting to rip my throat out? Who knows what that woman wants, because it’s impossible to predict what’s going on in her head!
Well, now things make a lot more sense. The Moonlight family wasn’t very prominent in the story because they simply died off, and then no one inherited their things other than the royal family, due to the king’s bond with my father... but the existence of this curse is extremely specific and strange.
This also means I have to be careful who I get involved with or which girl I have a child with. It’s not that demi-humans can’t have children with humans, but the life of a noble demi-human is much more complicated, especially if they’re going to carry this curse forever.
Ideally, I should save myself for someone of my own species... but am I going to do that? Never.
I’ve had a taste of what real sex is like. I don’t want to lose that in the prime of my life! Breaking this curse before continuing my intense sex life seems like a good idea.
How exactly you do that? If I’m not mistaken, in a few days, Leonhardt will be forced to go on some kind of crusade with the inquisitors, making him impossible to use, while calling Ravenna after everything we’ve done seems a bit... abusive.
I also have no direction here. This needs both a witch and an inquisitor or cleric to get information, and being from a rich, powerful noble family, I DOUBT the monster who put this on us is just some small-fry.
The door creaked slowly, announcing the arrival of a new assassin trying their luck with me, or someone coming to disturb my rest.
To my delight, it was indeed Moriah who came, but there was something subtly different about her. Her clothes, previously more modest, now exposed a beautiful pair of... assets through her cleavage, while one of her thighs appeared through a slit in her dress. Her golden eyes also gleamed in the dark, wide like that time we were alone in bed.
And the perfume... Ah, the perfume. I’d kill just to cling to her.
In her hand, of course, she carried a small, gleaming vial with a bright red liquid.
"Here it is, my dear. I didn’t kill anyone for it..." she said, flashing a short and malicious smile.
