Chapter 36: Asking A Favor For A Genius Moth Alchemist
I’m pretty messed up after that fight with Lord Karthak, because honestly, there’s no other explanation. If my physique were even slightly better, I wouldn’t need that slut Leliana helping me heal and giving me medicine, but scaring her a little has good.
Now what? I can’t speak properly, in fact, trying to would be more painful than anything else.
Oh, I wish I had a pair of soft thighs instead of this pillow, this is making me miss Ravenna. Instead, I’m lying here staring at the ceiling, getting treatment, which makes me feel like shit.
Leliana explained earlier that assassins did indeed try to slit my throat, but both she and Leonhardt took care of them. Even the food brought into the room wasn’t put into my mouth unless they were absolutely sure it had no poison.
However, this makes me worry about the witch. Did the same thing happened to her? And what about the king? From what Leliana told me, after the terrorist attack, they took the old man away so no one would have a chance to kill him. The same goes for his children and the queen.
As for me, I’m just lying here, incredibly lazy, thinking about what to do with my life. The treatment itself is awful, with my stepmother trying to shove pills and herbs down my throat without wanting to hear what I have to say.
Thinking about it, I guess there’s a diary in a drawer nearby.
I open one of the drawers and pull it out along with a charcoal pen. Leliana raises an eyebrow, clearly wondering what I’m doing.
Well, hopefully she understands this, my handwriting isn’t the best. I hand her the diary.
"Are you trying to summon a demon, Darius?"
Ugh, thanks a lot for not being able to read hieroglyphs, you hag!
I take it back and rewrite all very slowly, being careful with every nuance of the letters to make it as legible as possible.
