Chapter 30: Suspicions
Leon immediately thought of running as he knew he was one of the weakest students in the Academy. He could only defeat the First Years and not even all of them.
So, he didn’t even bother trying to fight since he would get defeated for sure. His objective was to get to a crowded place as quickly as possible.
Only then would he be safe.
But who would have thought that his movements would be restricted the moment he tried to run? Other than breathing, he couldn’t do anything, not even blink his eyes.
It was as if he were a puppet being controlled by someone else, which shocked him since he was sure this was a level of strength only teachers and professors could display and he doubted that even they could muster up such strength.
Why would any teacher target him?
’Think! Think! How can you get out of this situation? Damnation! I let down my guard.’
He heard footsteps behind him and knew the attacker was leisurely walking toward him, as if giving him enough time to feel the despair.
But all he could think about was finding a way out of this predicament. Sadly, no matter how much he thought, he couldn’t find a solution.
Against absolute power, no amount of thinking would work. He understood that now better than ever.
"You can stop resisting now. Am I that scary to you?"
He heard the familiar lazy voice and relaxed slightly but not completely. After all, there were powers in this world that could change one’s voice too.
