The man went on, "Anyway, because of that rumor, people, both men and women, are now avoiding Nolan Street unless they absolutely have to go there. They’re all shitting their pants thinking they’ll get abducted by that pervy massage owner."

I was at a complete loss for words. I did what to men? Isn’t that rumor too exaggerated? Who comes up with this kind of nonsense? And everyone seems to be buying it?!
