Chapter 2: Althea
"Haa...!"
I jolted upright from my sleep, breathing rapidly and heavily, my heart pounding in my chest.
Frantically, I checked over my entire body, and only after confirming that everything was intact and there were no injuries did I breathe a sigh of relief.
"Thank God it’s just a dream..."
"I should probably stop reading those reincarnation novels for a while. It’s likely because those stories always use the same cliché of the protagonist getting hit by a truck that I’m reliving the same experience in my dreams."
Then I rubbed my forehead and muttered confusedly, "But what about that purple-haired woman? Could she have appeared because my libido’s been out of control lately? Maybe she was just the embodiment of my ideal type of woman? Because, let’s be honest, a woman that perfect, with a gorgeous face and a body like that, just doesn’t exist in real life."
"And what’s she talking about? Another world? Hah, as if such a thing truly exists."
As I murmured to myself, a voice suddenly came from behind me.
"But that wasn’t a dream, though?"
"Who?!" I quickly turned around at the unfamiliar yet familiar voice at the same time.
The sight that greeted me next sent a shiver down my spine, making me tremble.
"H-how are you here??" I was so nervous that my voice came in a stutter.
