Chapter 630 - 564: The Early Deceased First Wife in ’Son-in-law’ 27
Rong Yan looked at the group of people, and her brows creased slightly. She was just about to squeeze her way out of the crowd.
Just then, someone acted faster than her.
"Hey! What are you doing? Move aside."
Upon hearing the voice, Rong Yan looked up and her eyes lit up. She hadn’t expected the man who came to her aid to be so handsome.
His face was incredibly attractive.
Even though his clothes were a bit shabby.
His presence, however, was strong.
Perhaps it was because he was unusually tall and muscular, and seemed not to be trifled with, the surrounding people stepped aside.
"Thank you!" Although Rong Yan could have handled it herself, she still felt it was necessary to express her gratitude since he had helped her.
"No, it’s nothing." Qin Ye’s gaze lingered on Rong Yan’s face for a few seconds before he slowly turned away.
He didn’t notice... his earlobes were incredibly red.
And his heartbeat was unnaturally fast.
Qin Ye had honestly not expected to meet the person who had appeared in his dreams for many years.
He had always thought such a beautiful person couldn’t possibly exist.
Yet, there she was, real as ever.
Since he was sixteen, he sporadically dreamed of a girl... In fact, her face hadn’t been clear in previous years, it was only in the past ten days that it became distinctly clear.
He wanted to find this girl who had haunted his dreams for so long.
So, when he got off the train and out of the station, he spotted her in the crowd at first glance, which truly thrilled him.
Then he saw her surrounded by a group, and without a second thought, he rushed forward.
After Rong Yan gave him a slight nod, she walked out through the crowd that had parted.
Qin Ye watched her retreating figure, not thinking twice before he followed her.
"Hello, I, I’m Qin Ye!"
She was the girl from his dreams, and he didn’t want to just miss her like that.
In the vast sea of people, if he missed this chance, when would he see her again?
Rong Yan turned to look at him... if it had been anyone else, she would have found such behavior annoying, even if they had just helped her, she would still feel suspicious of their intentions.
But for some reason, she just couldn’t bring herself to dislike this man.
She thought, perhaps it was because of his handsome face; he had a charming appearance, and she was somewhat swayed by his looks.
So, she instinctively replied, "My name is Rong Yan."
Qin Ye’s eyes brightened at her name, and then he looked intently at Rong Yan.
Rong Yan found his gaze somewhat unbearable.
"Do you need something else?"
"I... it’s my first time in Jing City..." What Qin Ye really wanted to ask was where she lived, so he could find her later.
But he knew he couldn’t ask that.
What if she started to dislike him because of it?
Rong Yan: ...?
So why do you feel the need to tell me it’s your first time in Jing City?
That doesn’t concern me, does it?
She was about to blurt this out, but upon seeing his awkwardness, such a tall and strong man now looked a little like a helpless puppy.
Cough cough... She startled herself with the thought.
"Do you have relatives here? You can go to them first."
Qin Ye immediately shook his head: "No."
Even if he did, he had no plan to visit them.
Rong Yan: "..." There’s no need to be so blunt.
But then, her mouth was faster than her brain by just a bit.
"If you don’t mind, then come with me to find a hotel first! I’m on my own too."
"Sure," Qin Ye realized he had responded too quickly and quickly added, "I don’t mind at all, thank you very much!"
Rong Yan: ....
This guy seemed a bit simple-minded, which really didn’t match his impressively handsome appearance.
"Let’s go together then! We’ll find a hostel to stay at first."
Considering it was her first visit to Jing City, Qin Ye said, "Wait a moment, I’ll go over there to buy a map."
There was a newsstand in the square, and buying a map would be more convenient.
Rong Yan nodded her head, "Okay."
Qin Ye quickly ran over....
Watching his retreating figure, she wondered if she had been dazzled by his good looks; otherwise, why would she do such a thing?
To actually agree to stay at a hostel with a man she had just met... Her waterlogged brain managed to squeeze out a little clarity, tempting her to pick up her feet and leave.
Quickly, Qin Ye returned, also fearful that Rong Yan would just walk away.
He held a map in his hand.
His eyes, exceptionally bright, were fixed on Rong Yan, "This is a map of Jing City. Which district would you like to go to? We can find a hostel in that district."
Rong Yan: .... How was she to tell him that she was actually only staying for a few days and that she might buy her own house during this time if things went well?
After all, selling the painting she had would be enough to buy a house in Jing City.
Perhaps, if she was lucky... she might even secure a courtyard house for herself!
"Which one shall we check out first?"
This unexpectedly familiar manner made Rong Yan take another look at him.
"What, what’s wrong?" His ears turned bright red.
Rong Yan: ....
She fell silent for a few seconds, then pointed, "Let’s go over there! I reckon the lodging fees won’t be too high."
Judging by his attire, he didn’t seem wealthy.
"Okay!" Qin Ye responded eagerly, as though he would listen to anything she said, which made Rong Yan somewhat unable to bear looking directly at him.
Anyone who didn’t know better might think they were quite acquainted.
Could it be that he had fallen for her at first sight?
Rong Yan thought and her lips twitched almost imperceptibly.
"Let’s go! There are cars that way," Qin Ye pointed with his hand.
Following the direction he pointed, Rong Yan noticed he was referring to a taxi.
Considering his wallet, she said outright, "Let’s take the bus instead! It’s probably only a few stops away, might be more convenient than a taxi."
"Okay!" Qin Ye didn’t ponder too much.
If it were a matter of money, although his clothes did not suggest it, he certainly wasn’t short on cash.
He did have money in hand.
Taking a taxi was merely to spare her the discomfort of the crowded bus.
Their thoughts were quite different.
Yet, it didn’t hinder them from moving together.
They arrived at the bus stop.
Qin Ye first checked the platform information, then told Rong Yan, "We’ll take the number 2 bus."
Rong Yan nodded her head, "Okay."
Just then, the number 2 bus arrived, and Qin Ye let Rong Yan board first, standing behind her to shield her from the pushing crowd, preventing anyone from bumping into her.
As the two boarded the bus, they found a pair of seats to sit down.
Qin Ye sat on the outside, by the aisle, sitting up straight.
He wanted to start a conversation but was afraid of annoying her.
However, his gaze uncontrollably wandered over to Rong Yan and then quickly shifted away.
Rong Yan: ....
Buddy, I’ve got excellent eyesight!
"By the way, what brought you to Jing City? School? Or work?" She guessed his age couldn’t be much, probably in his early twenties.
