Chapter 425 - 359: The Entire Family is Cruel
If anyone else had been there today, they’d probably be scared half to death, but Rong Yan remained extraordinarily calm, even though the knife tip was nearly touching her face, her eyes didn’t even blink.
She quickly twisted the wrist of the man in black, breaking it.
The small knife in the man’s hand fell to the ground with a crisp sound, and he let out a shout of pain due to the agony.
The other two men outside heard this and knew something had gone wrong, so they hastily ran over.
But before they could enter the house, Rong Yan threw a chair she had grabbed at random toward the two of them.
"...ah..." One of them was unfortunate, the chair hit him squarely.
While the other dodged to the side, just missing it.
Before he could steady himself to check the situation, he saw another chair coming toward him... damn, it was fierce, as he didn’t dodge it and it hit his face.
"Ow..." a shrill scream pierced through the night.
The three grown men hadn’t even done anything yet and all were already defeated, which really wasn’t a good start.
Wenming had not smoked much, and with these shrill screams, he was immediately jolted awake.
After he opened his eyes, the screaming continued.
Suddenly, his mind, which had still been somewhat groggy... now was fully alert.
He pushed his wife beside him twice but couldn’t wake her up, realizing it was not normal.
Without time to think further and not bothering to wake her, he quickly got up and rushed outside.
Then he saw the three men thrown out one after the other.
This truly shocked him... and also broke him out in a cold sweat.
He wanted to rush in to check on his daughter, but just as he stepped forward, he saw his daughter walking out of the house.
So he hurriedly asked, "Yanyan, how are you? Are you all right?"
"Dad, I’m fine," Rong Yan lifted her chin slightly, "The problem is with them."
Hearing his daughter say she was fine, Wenming still thoroughly checked her over to make sure there were no injuries, only then did he feel relieved.
Then he turned to look at the three men lying on the ground trying to get up.
His anger soared to the extreme.
He quickly charged at them... and started throwing punches at the three men...
The men, already injured, were now unable to fight back against Wenming’s punches, after all, Wenming had been a soldier in his early years.
His health had mostly been restored over the past six months through his daughter’s care with good medicines and medicinal meals, plus his daily morning exercises.
His punches now were fierce and precise...
There was no helping it; he was just too angry.
He couldn’t even imagine what might have happened to his daughter.
"...ah, stop, stop... stop hitting..."
The three men being hammered cried out in pain.
What the hell does this father and daughter do?
Why is each more ferocious than the last?
Damn, it really hurts... if this continues, they really felt like they were going to be crippled.
Wenming wasn’t about to stop, his fists kept flying at them, determined to beat the crap out of them...
Seeing that her dad had the situation under control with the three men, Rong Yan didn’t bother anymore.
She headed straight for Qin Mei’s room.
The window of the room where the little girl was sleeping was open, plus the thief who came first had been smoking in there.
Originally, the little girl’s body was quite weak, and she had inhaled a bit too much.
Rong Yan immediately took her pulse... After finding that her body would not be greatly affected, she decided not to wake her up.
After all, outside there was a violent beating going on, and she was afraid it would scare the little girl.
Now, sure that there wasn’t much of a problem, she turned and walked out, going to her mother’s room.
With all the shouting in the courtyard, her mother still hadn’t come out, so she must have been drugged.
She checked her mother’s breath, then took her pulse... With a flip of her right hand, a silver needle appeared, and she directly stabbed a certain acupoint on her mother’s body.
"Ah... Who poked me?" Madam Rong woke up in pain.
When she opened her eyes and saw her daughter standing in front of the bed, she was nearly scared out of her wits.
"...You, you not sleeping in the middle of the night, standing in my room doing what? Don’t you know scaring someone can scare them to death?"
"Mom, a burglar has broken into our house, you were drugged."
"What? A burglar?" At this, Madam Rong nearly jumped out of bed.
Then she heard the commotion outside, which seemed to involve more than one person.
"Is our money safe?"
Rong Yan speechlessly replied, "Shouldn’t you be concerned about whether your daughter is safe? Is the money more important than me?"
"You’re standing here, even able to poke me with a needle, how could you be in danger? Don’t block me." Madam Rong quickly got out of bed.
What kind of burglars had the gall to come into their house? She had to deal with them properly.
She went downstairs, put on her shoes, and rushed outside directly; as she reached the doorway, she casually picked up a broom that was lying under the eaves.
"Old Rong, move aside, let me handle this..."
Rong Wenming was just getting tired, so when he heard this, he looked up towards the voice.
Seeing his spouse charging over with the broom, his eyes twitched and he quickly stepped aside to leave room for her to take action.
"I’ll beat you, the heartless thieves, dare to steal in my house when you have hands and feet, tired of living are you?"
Madam Rong’s broom was just as powerful as the previous two... striking again and again, the broom really hurt when it hit someone.
It only made matters worse on top of the injuries already inflicted by the earlier beatings.
The three burglars in black even began to cry; what kind of family was this? Why wasn’t there a single good person?
"Stop, we’re going to the police station..."
If the beating continued, someone might actually get killed, now if they went to the police station, it would probably just be an attempted theft, right? After all, they hadn’t managed to take anything.
Also, why hadn’t any neighbors come to rescue them?
Just anyone... could at least make this crazy family stop beating them, right?
Thinking this, they cried even louder.
Hoping their voices would penetrate... and bring the other residents of the alley to their rescue.
This was too painful!
Meanwhile, father and daughter unknowingly stood together.
"Dad, mom’s fighting skills are impressive!"
"That they are, don’t underestimate your mom, back in the day, she could chase someone down the whole street with a broom."
Rong Yan, surprised by this revelation, asked, "When was this? Why don’t I know about this?"
"You were young back then, probably don’t remember. You were so cute, a swindler tried to kidnap you, but your mom saw and chased him down the whole street with a broom..."
The corner of Rong Yan’s mouth twitched.
Really?
"Dad, tell me more about this..."
