Chapter 1 Just a Few Ants
Huaxia.
Binhai City.
Next to Binhai No. 1 Middle School, inside a dilapidated factory that was soon to be demolished.
In the spacious factory hall, a scene of bullying the weak was unfolding.
Four hoodlums with hair dyed in all colors of the rainbow and a mean-looking youth who seemed to be a student stood together.
In the corner opposite them were two boys, one squatting on the ground with his head buried, while the other stood in front of him, seemingly to protect the one crouched at the corner.
Even though he was facing an overwhelmingly larger group, he didn’t step back at all.
Around them, there were a dozen or so other boys and girls, all seemingly students, who were watching the scene unfold as if it were a spectacle, whispering among themselves.
"Lin Hao, you were acting all tough before, weren’t you? Now you’re being a coward? Hiding behind someone else, what kind of skill is that? If you’re a man, then stand out here," said the mean-looking student among the ruffians with a smile that was more of a sneer, his gaze fixed on the boy squatting in the corner with his head buried, and then glanced at the boy standing in front of him and scolded, "Chen Yifan, if you don’t want to get beaten, you’d better get lost. This is a personal vendetta between me and Lin Hao."
"Wu Lin, Lin Hao isn’t feeling well today, if you’re a man, let’s reschedule," Chen Yifan glanced at Lin Hao trembling behind him and said with less confidence, "Lin Hao just accidentally bumped into you, why are you being so aggressive?"
"Who do you think you are? Telling me to reschedule like we’re having tea?" Wu Lin said with a vicious smile, "I’m going to teach Lin Hao today what pain is – even daring to mess with me, spit!"
