The Devil's Son and His Fated Bride

Chapter 92: Heinous beasts.

"What did he do?" he gasped, his face drained of color, gripped by pure terror.

Agara turned to him, voice low and heavy with meaning. "Siamon, you’ve been his warden since he was eight. Are you willing to give your life for him?"

Siamon was no ordinary servant. Though most believed him to be just an old black werewolf Kai had rescued long ago, only the Fae knew the truth. He was a Hell Wolf—assigned by the Demon God himself to guard the youngest prince from his siblings. But before that, he had been something far darker; a tyrant king in mortal life, one who had slain his lover after a night of lust and madness, then butchered his own people. The Demon God had taken him as punishment, stripped him of humanity, and cast him into the underworld as a beast meant to torment sinful souls.

Until Kai. The young prince had saved him, from torment, from the wild abyss, from himself. He was no longer a hell tormentor. Just because of this prince of the Underworld.

Siamon knelt, head bowed in reverence. To him, Kai was more than a prince, he was the son he never had, the only redemption he’d ever known. His loyalty was absolute.

"I do," he said without hesitation. "I give my life."

Agara didn’t blink. "Then if Lutherieth appears, rip out his fucking soul and send it back to his father."

Siamon knew the cost of failure. If he fell, he would return to the underworld, to slavery, to torment, to being nothing more than a sheer demonic beast again. But this wasn’t about him. He and His Highness had lived long enough to grow weary of the immortal cycle. He’d rather burn his soul to ash and vanish from existence than start again in another world. And for Kaisun, he would do it without question.

Agara met his eyes. They both knew exactly what had been asked.

An hour later, dark clouds surged across the sky like a rising tide of ash. Thunder cracked overhead, fierce and feral, like beasts clashing in an unseen war, and the wind howled through the valley, rattling the castle windows in their frames. Every warrior had been summoned to defend Moon Valley and the Vine Castle.
