Chapter 1317: Trip to Beidaihe, Saving People
This time, the Luo’s elderly couple and the entire second branch of the family arrived, along with the Lu family’s father and two sons. Due to work, Kong Xiangrui was unable to join, hence only women and children were present.
Luo Qiao also called her master and his wife, but unfortunately, they said their eldest grandson and his partner didn’t get time off for the National Day holiday. Just yesterday, they had sent their child over, who’s been feverish ever since. As a result, they were unable to leave the house and had to pass on the outing.
Early the next morning, two buses started picking up passengers. By 8:30, both buses had converged and set off for Beidaihe.
The children’s laughter and singing filled the journey, and by midday, they finally arrived at their accommodation.
Upon arrival, a local tour guide greeted them enthusiastically. Luo Xuyuan introduced him to everyone, mentioning that this Guide Zhang would be leading the group for the next three days.
The rooms were pre-booked, clean, and tidy, with a sea view–altogether quite pleasant.
Guide Zhang also gave a brief self-introduction, assigned the rooms, and advised everyone to settle their luggage first, then gather in the hall downstairs before heading out for lunch together.
The midday meal, considering some may not be accustomed, included half seafood and the rest were home-cooked dishes. The children, having ridden half the day, were truly hungry and ate deliciously.
Guide Zhang mentioned that the sun was too fierce at the moment, so he suggested everyone retreat to their rooms to rest before heading to the beach later.
The children were ecstatic; they could play in the sand now.
