Chapter 1269: The Blaze of Glory
Time quickly approached the May Day holiday, coinciding with the weekend. The lab notified everyone of a five-day break.
Luo Qiao had already learned about the specifics of the Soukai Family from Lu Yichen and knew that some of their elders had participated in the invasion of China. Soukai himself was far from being a gentleman of integrity.
Having made plans earlier, Luo Qiao prepared two sets of documents, acquiring a passport and identification that could pass off as real, and bought a plane ticket to Japan a few days in advance.
She didn’t tell her family that she was going to Japan, only mentioning that she had to go out for a few days due to certain matters.
Well prepared, she arrived in Japan without incident. After leaving the airport, she checked into a hotel not far from the Soukai family’s residence and, after two days of reconnaissance, mapped out the family members’ basic information and their comings and goings.
On the third night, she infiltrated the Soukai estate, found the family’s confidential files and evidence of crime in the study, and additionally swept through their basement, taking many treasures that were looted during the invasion of China.
Luo Qiao thought that those things should not end up lost abroad, and decided to secretly return them to the country when she got back to China. She also took everything from the safe, and then restored everything back to the way it was before.
Taking advantage of the night, Luo Qiao made a decision. She knew not to put all her eggs in one basket, so she distributed the confidential documents to two of the Soukai family’s rival houses.
Fearing that they might have powerful backers, she also distributed the evidence of crimes to two different police agencies. Only then did she head to the airport and bought a ticket for the next flight back to New York. By the time she had passed security and boarded the plane, the Soukai family was already in chaos.

When Luo Qiao returned home, she called Lu Yichen and spoke to him in a veiled manner, hinting to him to pay attention to the situation over there.
She spent the afternoon playing with the children in the park, and thus the May Day holiday came to an end.
A few days after returning to the lab, she received news that the Soukai Family had essentially collapsed. The police agencies first took away the head of the Soukai family. Then, due to the leak of those confidential files, their rivals caught them off guard.
