Feng Hui watched as the sedan drove off, only then did she react, "Tianming, she just left, what should we do now?"
Luo Tianming let out a bitter smile, "What else do you want her to do, treat you like an honored guest? Haven’t you thought about how we treated her before? The fact that she managed to borrow money for us is already more than we deserve. If it weren’t for that tiny bit of remaining gratitude towards my mother, do you think she would have even met with us?"
Feng Hui looked around, seeing no one: "Worst comes to worst, I’ll make a fuss with the hospital’s leadership, and see if they still want to keep her."
Luo Tianming shook his head and said, "This is Capital City, your tantrums are like those of a lunatic here. Didn’t you see that she left in a car? The man with her, needless to say, is her husband. If you dare to make trouble, he’ll have you thrown out of Capital City within minutes. Don’t believe me? Just try it."
Feng Hui scowled, "What a schemer, borrowing money for us, and she thought of that? All borrowed money has to be repaid, doesn’t it?"
Luo Tianming sighed deeply, "She’s right; we went too far. Since we switched the two children, we should have treated her well. Talking about it now is too late."
Feng Hui also sighed, "Who would have known she wasn’t genuinely the daughter of that rural couple? If I’d known her real parents were in Capital City, would I have treated her like that? What do we do now?"
Luo Tianming looked around, "If worse comes to the absolute worst, we’ll stay in the hospital lobby for the night. At the very least, it’s warmer inside than out."
