Chapter 243: Burning with Impatience
Luo Haotian asked him to inquire about any abnormalities at the hospital from his wife, Zhong Cuiping, after work.
After hanging up the phone, Zhang Jianjun became uneasy. It had been him and his wife who had gone to the hospital together. His wife had kept watch over their child the entire time. How could they now say the child had been swapped?
He couldn’t wait until after work. Out of anxiousness, he quickly gathered his things and returned to his family quarters. Upon entering the courtyard, he called out, "Cuiping, Cuiping, where are you?"
As Zhang Jianjun drank the cool boiled water on the table and saw Zhong Cuiping enter, he hurriedly said, "Something’s happened."
Zhong Cuiping responded, "Why are you shouting? What’s happened?"
Zhang Jianjun replied, "Just now, Luo Haotian called and said that his little daughter was switched at birth. He asked me to check with you if there was anything unusual at the hospital back then."
Zhong Cuiping’s head started to spin. If the baby really had been switched, then they would be the culprits. She suddenly felt a chill over her body and her legs went weak.
Seeing his wife’s reaction, Zhang Jianjun quickly stepped forward to support her and suggested she sit down, "Don’t be scared. Since this has happened, there’s no use worrying. We just need to try and remember if anything went wrong back then."
