She pulled a military water bottle from her basket, took a few sips, and turned to see a large snake hanging from a tree nearby. Even after surviving an apocalypse, she still felt some fear of these limbless creatures.
A flicker of her hand caused her to spill a good amount of water from the bottle. Watching the snake as it seemed to head her way, she quickly screwed on the cap, placed it back in her basket, and swiftly made her escape—too frightening!
However, she hadn’t gone far before she heard something approaching. Luo Qiao quickly stored her basket into her spatial storage and climbed a larger tree. To her concern, she saw it was full of animals.
There were even wolves and bears among them. Instinctively, Luo Qiao shivered uncontrollably and remained silent in the tree, careful not to alert them to her presence.
