Chapter 159 Looking at Houses
The old gentleman looked at Luo Qiao, "You can look around, but I won’t sell this house for less than a thousand."
Luo Qiao took a quick look, three main rooms and three slightly smaller side rooms, with a shed opposite that was almost the same size as the side rooms, and it was particularly clean inside.
There was also a piece of land at the back, about one-tenth of an acre, the only inconvenience being the need to use the public toilet.
However, Luo Qiao thought if all else failed, she could simply build a dry toilet at the edge of the vegetable garden at the back. After all, she really liked the courtyard and the house was well maintained; it was evident it had recently been repaired.
Luo Qiao said, "The house is indeed quite nice. However, I didn’t bring enough money today. I need to gather it tonight. When do you plan to leave?"
The old gentleman glanced at the courtyard and said, "We are leaving tomorrow afternoon. As you see, everything we want to take has already been packed."
Luo Qiao asked, "Can the price be a little lower?"
The old gentleman said, "You have seen the house. I had it renovated just six months ago. If it weren’t for the fact that my daughter lives so far away and it’s too much of a hassle to come back and forth, I wouldn’t even consider selling."
Luo Qiao pondered for a moment and then said, "Okay, I’ll come back tomorrow morning."
The old gentleman asked, "What about your family? Don’t they need to come to see the house?"
Luo Qiao looked at the courtyard and said indifferently, "No need. I can make the decision. They are all quite busy."
