Once in the city, Luo Qiao first went to the medicine factory’s guardroom to get help locating someone; in such a large factory, she had no idea where Gao Baozhu was working.
The old man in the guardroom was kind-hearted, and after inquiring with several workers coming and going, they found out that Gao Baozhu was in Workshop Six. Then he found someone from the neighboring Workshop Five to relay a message to Gao Baozhu that someone was looking for him at the gate of Workshop Six.
Out of gratitude, Luo Qiao reached into her pocket for a handful of red dates to give as a thank-you gift; the old man kept saying she was too polite.
Gao Baozhu came out in a hurry and saw Luo Qiao standing at the gate: "Luo Qiao, what brings you here?"
Luo Qiao saw that Gao Baozhu appeared to be in good spirits and asked, "Big Brother Gao, are you getting used to working at the factory?"
Gao Baozhu answered with a simple smile, "Pretty good. Working here is less tiring than farming back home. Luo Qiao, thank you."
Luo Qiao handed over the package prepared by Auntie Gao to Gao Baozhu: "Big Brother Gao, this is something Auntie Gao asked me to bring you."
Upon hearing that his mother had sent something over, Gao Baozhu’s face lit up with a smile.
