Children never understand adults’ worries. Xibao, tugging at Ding Hailan’s sleeve, squatted beside her to play, and quickly got Ding Hailan to open up to him. Upon hearing he was from the Capital and used to live in a large compound, Xibao asked, "Huahua, my little brother, do you know him?"

"Huahua?" Ding Hailan thought for a moment, "There are a lot of flowers at my home, but no little brother."

Xibao pointed to his nose, "My little brother, Huahua, not the flowers on the trees."

"Huahua is Wang Zhonghua," Lu’s father interjected during the conversation, "Hailan, do you know Wang Zhonghua?"

Ding Hailan immediately said, "Oh, he’s a big brother, not a little brother!"

He sized up Xibao and himself, "Brother Zhonghua is so much taller than me, I need to eat lots of food to catch up with him. Brother Xibao, I’m out of candy, do you have any more? I want to eat some. My mom and dad aren’t here, and there’s no one to buy me candy."

At this point, the little guy burst into tears, calling out for his mommy and daddy non-stop.

"Here, have these!" Xibao quickly took all the candy from his pocket, three pieces in total, and stuffed them into Ding Hailan’s hand, "Don’t cry, okay? It’s milk candy, sweet, if you eat the candy you won’t miss your mom and dad."
