Jiang Xiaoyue’s fiancé was named Li Jun, a young man of noble birth. They had been childhood friends, and their affection and forthcoming marriage seemed to be a natural development. Initially, he had allowed his daughter to associate with Li Jun, who showed promise, but he didn’t expect this decision to harm her.

Wang Xinsheng, who had recently returned to work, stepped in as a matchmaker and introduced Lu Tianjun to Jiang Xiaoyue.

Although Lu Tianjun’s background was not ideal—having been born out of wedlock—his good looks, capability, and impeccable manners made up for it. There was no concern about his future prospects, and he was far superior to those privileged playboys who had born into a notable family but were unwilling to strive for their future.

Jiang Yun approved, and Jiang Xiaoyue was also quite fond of him. They shared a similar temperament, and thus, the two became a couple.
