Once the plague began, it spread rapidly. Even with doctors looking for the right medicine, there wasn’t necessarily a way to stop it.
Mianmian and Su Ji were children, unaware of the true meaning of the plague, until it was explained to them by adults.

"Since it’s an illness, can it be treated?" Mianmian looked up at her parents, "There are many medicinal herbs in the Palace, there should be some that can cure the plague, right?"
