Chapter 765: Seven hundred sixty-three, madness
On the hospital bed, Zhuo Luoluo slowly opened her eyes, feeling the numb pain on her mouth; she immediately remembered what happened before.
Anxiously sitting up, she crawled out of bed and hurried toward the restroom. She wanted to see what she looked like now.
Mother Zhuo hadn’t slept all night and had just fallen asleep when she heard the noise. Opening her eyes, she saw Zhuo Luoluo enter the restroom.
She quickly got up and followed but found that the restroom door was already locked. In a panic, she said, "Luoluo, quickly open the door and let Mom in." Her greatest worry now was that Luoluo, seeing her current state, wouldn’t be able to handle the shock and might do something foolish.
She waited for a long time, but there was no sound from inside. Out of anxiety, she started pounding on the door, "Luoluo, open the door! Don’t do anything foolish; the doctor said there’s still a way to heal your wound." That was the only comfort she could offer her right now.
Zhuo Luoluo looked at herself in the mirror. Her lip wound had been treated, covered with thick gauze; her entire face was swollen, making her look ghastly, like some sort of specter.
She held her head, her hands incessantly pulling at her hair. No! This isn’t me! Now, just moving her mouth slightly, she could feel a tearing pain as intense as being ripped apart.
What should she do? Was she supposed to live out the rest of her life with a face that was neither human nor ghost? No! She would rather die than live like that!
