Hillpry was looking down at a document when he heard footsteps and looked up to see Mikejay.
Mikejay stopped three steps away from Hillpry and bowed respectfully, "Your Majesty! I apologize for my failure to complete the task you entrusted to me." He had genuinely not expected the other party to refuse. Anyone who received an invitation from the Royal Family would normally be thrilled and would gladly accept.
Hillpry raised an eyebrow.
"That doctor from Yan Country, she declined your invitation," Mikejay said apologetically to Hillpry.
"Oh?" There was a trace of surprise on Hillpry’s face as he put down the document in his hand. His slender fingers gently tapped on the desktop, waiting for Mikejay to continue.
"As per your instructions, I delivered the invitation to that doctor from Yan Country, but she directly refused. She said she wouldn’t accept your invitation until our country has dealt with the attack on Mr. Liu Zhengxun," Mikejay explained. Although he was surprised when she refused, he felt more relieved than disappointed. He did not wish for someone from Yan Country to enter their noble and sacred palace.
"Hanmo, do you have a plan now?" Liu Zhengxun leaned back on his hospital bed, his sharp gaze fixed on Lu Hanmo sitting before him. After a couple of days of recuperation, he had recovered significantly.
"Yes," Lu Hanmo nodded. He already had a plan in mind.
