Watching Song Youyou’s silhouette disappear at the doorway, Song Jiefang took a long sigh, shook his head, and turned to walk outside.
Seeing Bai Moyao sitting and smoking at the doorstep of his house from a distance, Song Jiefang felt surprised. Why was Bai Moyao here? Shouldn’t he be at home accompanying Qin Yue?
Bai Moyao also saw Song Jiefang, snuffed out the cigarette in his hand, stood up, and greeted Song Jiefang, "Uncle!"
"Are you looking for me? Is there something you need?" asked Song Jiefang.
"I would like to borrow a car from you, I need to go to the city tomorrow to buy some stuff," said Bai Moyao. With Qin Yue’s current condition, he was unsure how long he would need to stay here.
"Let’s go inside and talk. Have you had dinner yet?" Song Jiefang opened the courtyard door and let Bai Moyao in.
"I have eaten," Bai Moyao nodded.
"Join me for some more, let’s have a drink." Song Jiefang felt a bit despondent in his heart, and wanted to drink some alcohol to ease his mood.
"Okay!" Bai Moyao agreed. His mood wasn’t great either, and perhaps drinking would make him feel a bit better.
As they walked into the house, they saw the dining table laden with an array of dishes.
