Aunt Ning asked with concern, "Do you feel unwell anywhere else? Does your head still hurt?"
"My head is a bit sore, and so are my wounds," Fu Bing admitted, not hiding her pain. Hiding it would only make them worry more.
Aunt Ning lovingly stroked her hair. "I’ve already prepared the medicine. Once the bandages are removed from your wounds, we’ll apply it. It relieves pain and won’t leave scars."
"I’m sorry for making you worry." Fu Bing felt quite remorseful. She wanted them to lead a peaceful life, but they ended up constantly worried about her.
"It was an accident; it’s not your fault."
"I’m fine now. You and Xiaomei should go back and rest," Fu Bing said.
Aunt Ning and Xiaomei exchanged glances. They knew Qin Jinhai was aware of Fu Bing’s room, and their departure might invite him over. Not feeling reassured, Aunt Ning said, "This is Gu Yazheng’s hospital, and both Uncle He and I are uneasy. Since there’s no serious danger now, let’s get you discharged and go home for recovery. With me, Lu Yuan, and Shen Linxing at home, we can surely heal you."
Fu Bing knew she had really scared them this time, so she didn’t object. "If the attending doctor says I can be discharged, then we will. However, I need to wait until President Ren wakes up so I can thank him before leaving." Ren Ye had saved her life; she couldn’t leave without thanking him in person.
"That’s only right." Aunt Ning didn’t push the issue. Fu Bing’s room was a VIP room, equipped with a companion bed.
Aunt Ning was not about to let Fu Bing out of her sight. She had Xiaomei help Fu Bing onto the companion bed. Xiaomei then settled on the sofa to doze.
