Chapter 16 The Trap Set by Li Qing
Li Qing saw Fu Bing ignore her, tears rolling down like pearls.
"Xiaobing, you’ve disappointed me so much. Three years ago, I lost my child because of you, and I didn’t say a single word of blame."
"Why did you steal my Best Actress title as soon as you were released from prison and also send my most trusted agent to jail?"
"What are you planning to do next? Will you only be happy if you send me to prison too?"
Li Qing faced the camera and broke down in tears. Fu Bing watched Li Qing act with an expressionless face.
No wonder Li Qing’s acting skills had never improved. She was always focused on the camera, always concerned about whether it could capture her most beautiful angle. Audiences aren’t fools. Even if they can’t articulate the theoretical nuances of performance, they can feel the emotions conveyed by the actors. Plus, Li Qing’s lines and breath control were inadequate. She became incoherent when anxious, which made her uncomfortable to listen to.
Fu Bing said with a trembling voice, "Qingqing, I also considered you my best friend. You said I caused your miscarriage, but I’ve always disagreed with your claim. There were at least twenty people on set at the time, and I was at least five meters away from you. We didn’t even have a physical fight scene, so there was no chance for me to touch your stomach."
"I don’t know if you’re misremembering because of the pain or if you originally planned to blame the loss of your child on me."
Fu Bing subtly set a trap for Li Qing. Li Qing hadn’t expected Fu Bing to say that and quickly tried to disassociate herself.
"But when I woke up, everyone told me it was you who caused it."
