The Billionaire's Promise

Marlon glanced sideways at Erik who had his eyes closed. They just came from the airport and the car was cruising at a comfortable speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The meeting with their business partners was set the following morning.

Marlon sighed. Erik looked better compared to a few months ago when Aryana disappeared. But something in him changed. He became even more workaholic and more ruthless in dealing with business matters. In his free time, he still continued to search for Aryana. He still would not accept the fact that Aryana died. To him, she was just missing.

The result of their investigation showed that the people who planned to kidnap Aryana was related to a syndicate called Black Mamba. It was the same one that kidnapped and almost auctioned her. Their motive might be revenge because of the tremendous losses they suffered on the day Aryana was auctioned.

After that, Erik was hell bent on destroying the syndicate. He worked with the police as they raided the syndicate’s lair one by one.

Erik opened his eyes and looked out of the window. He froze at what he saw.

"Stop the car." He shouted.

Unfortunately they were on the expressway and they cannot stop at will especially when they were on the inner lane.

Erik craned his neck and looked back at the electronic bill board. He saw the profile of a young model. She exactly looked like Aryana. But then his eyes traveled down to her stomach and he saw the big baby bump. The frame changed and the woman was now facing the camera. Erik’s heart skipped a bit. The woman was smiling into the camera and his gaze landed to the two cute dimples that decked her rosy cheeks. But when he looked at her eyes, he felt disappointed. The color of her eyes was brown and it was a bit smaller and looked more Oriental rather than Caucasian. Her hair was straight and black and just a little above her shoulders.

The car went past the billboard and he could no longer see. He however saw the brand she was endorsing and it was called Madonna.
