Chapter 200: You Are The Most Outstanding Of All
Aryana felt a surge of warmth from her heart. She was focused on reading Erik’s text message.
"But you are the most outstanding of them all."
She could feel the sincerity of those words. Erik did treat her very well and though he never said the word, Aryana could feel Erik’s love for her.
"Aryannnaaa, aren’t you listening? Your name was called on stage. You won! You won!" Elaine went crazy. She stood up and was pulling Aryana out of her chair.
"Huh, what are you saying?" Aryana was pulled out of her daze.
The clear voice of the host was heard over the banquet hall. "Requesting Miss Aryana Jones from CoChi to come up the stage to receive the award of the Most Promising CEO for the unprecedented performance of her company."
Aryana was frozen in her spot. She thought she was dreaming. The constant prodding of Elaine, Vince, and Jessa and the loud applause from the audience told her that everything was real. She took a tentative step forward, then she walked gracefully to the center aisle and toward the stage.
Erik met her halfway. He offered his arm for her to hold unto. If there is one person who was the happiest for her achievement, it was Erik. He was all smiles as he led her to the stage. They looked like a couple walking to the altar on their wedding day.
"Congratulations! You made it and I am so proud of you." Erik spoke gently. His eyes were focused on the stage in front.
