The host asked them to stay on the stage. Vince and Aryana went to stand beside the third-prize winner.
"The grand prize winner is the creation called Eagle’s Wings by Dulce! We may call on the designer and the model to come up the stage to receive the awards." The host announced enthusiastically. However, the reaction from the audience was lackluster, showing their discontent with the result.
Dulce stood at the foot of the stair while waiting for Cassie and she regretted doing that. She should have gone on the stage and waited for her model there.
’While the gown looked nice, the design is contemporary. I still like Galaxy at Night. I thought that kind of design can only be done in drawings and animations. I am surprised to see it come to life.’
’I agree with you. What a radical design. I thought it will win first place.’
’The model also carried the gown very well. It was like the gown was designed for her. She looked like the queen of the dark galaxy. I don’t know what the judges were thinking.’
Dulce clenched her fists. She was sure that the two women sitting at the side intentionally raised their voices for her to hear them.
She cast an impatient glance at the slender woman who was walking toward her. She has an ugly expression on her face before it was replaced by a practiced smile.
When they went up the stage to receive the awards, both the designer and model were smiling professionally.
