Chapter 56: First Night
Erik took his feet out of the water and lifted Aryana. Aryana was startled and let out a scream. He laid her down on the couch, cupped her face, and crushed his lips over hers. He placed one of his hands on the back of her head and deepened the kiss forcing her to open up to him. Her heart was beating wildly and was panting when he ended the kiss.
Erik brushed her lips with his thumb and smiled at her with satisfaction. He stood up and flicked a few switches located at a pillar. The path surrounding the infinity pool was illuminated by a warm yellow glow. The edge of the infinity pool became alive when water started gushing upwards.
Arayana gasped. She stared dreamily at the rushing fountain which was highlighted by a beautiful splash of lighting.
"Do you like it?" Erik asked.
"Are you kidding me? I don’t like it." Aryana paused and looked at Erik who frowned at her.
"I love it. It’s beautiful." She said and in her excitement, she hugged Erik and kissed him briefly on the lips.
Erik laughed lightly. He ruffled Aryana’s hair before reaching out to press a button at the pillar of the gazebo. Right after, two maids carrying a tray came and served the food.
"Let’s have dinner while enjoying the view."
Erik cut the steak and gave her the plate. He also poured the wine into both of their glasses.
Aryana savored her steak and enjoyed every moment of the dinner. The sound of the fountain and the scent of the candle has a calming effect. They finished the entire bottle of wine and Aryana was a little dizzy. She leaned against Erik’s chest as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the serenity of the place.
Erik liked her smell and he can’t help but run his hand through her hair.
