Chapter 21: Schemes against Erik
When he came back, the four people in the room were already drunk except for Megan who is hugging the microphone while singing her heart out.
"You’re back!" Michelle said happily. She has drunk a lot. Her face was already flushed.
"Common let us toast Erik for getting the deal with Amaya Corporation." Michelle picked up her wine glass. Justin and Lindsay followed suit. Marlon already went out because he cannot get drunk.
Michelle glanced at Erik’s wine glass expectantly. Erik followed her gaze and the corner of his lips curled upwards. He pushed a button and the waiter appeared.
"Give me a new glass and pour me a martini." The waiter complied. Only then did Erik raise his glass and downed the content in one go.
Michelle, Justin, and Lindsay exchanged glances.
Erik moved closer to Michelle. He grasped her waist and squeezed it tightly.
"Wrong move Michelle. Never do that again. You will not like the consequence. You are lucky Megan is here otherwise, you will be the one to drink the drugged wine." Erik whispered into her ear in a chilling voice and then he pushed her away.
Michelle shuddered at the coldness of his voice. He was scared of Erik. But she still smiled bashfully as if nothing happened. She downed glass after glass of tequila until she was totally wasted.
"Why can’t you like me? You know I love you, Erik." She slurred and mumbled more incoherent words. Before long, she passed out sprawled on the sofa.
Erik also drank a lot but was still sober. He messaged Marlon and Ace to carry Michelle to the yacht while he supported Megan who was a bit tipsy.
