Chapter 563: The CEO dilemma
Xu Dong finally let go of Jiang Xun.
"Go on," Xu Dong lightly squeezed her hand and smoothened her hair.
Jiang Xun smiled at him before lifting her dress and walking up the stage. When she walked up to Shi Huan, she lowered her voice and apologized, "I’m sorry, I kept you waiting."
Shi Huan smiled and shook his head, "It’s nothing. This is good news. Congratulations."
Jiang Xun smiled and took over the award from Shi Huan’s hands. Shi Huan stepped back for Jiang Xun to take the stage. Next, it was Jiang Xun’s acceptance speech.
Jiang Xun smiled faintly, "I don’t have many people to thank for being able to get this Newcomer Award. Everyone thanks their parents first, but in my case, I am not able to do that. I first thank the cast of the drama for accommodating me, and Director Shi who guided me a lot. Without him, I wouldn’t have acted in such a good drama. I also thank my boyfriend Xu Dong for everything he did for me.
"He wanted to protect me and not let people think that I achieved my resources because of him, so he always held back and never announced our relationship publicly. He always thinks of me. Even up until just now, I know he was still weighing the pros and cons of our relationship going public. I also know that once we went public, the rumors around me will certainly not fall short. But I am not afraid. He treats me so well. I want to let the whole world know that. Furthermore, the accomplishments that I now have indeed cannot be separated from him. It is only with his support that I can strive forward without limits."
"And lastly, I want to thank the most important person in my life, a person who has always appeared in my life when I was in trouble. She appeared like an angel in my times of need. Without her, I would not be taking this award today. I thank our CEO for always supporting and encouraging me, for pulling me out of trouble and for giving me a new chance in life every time."
With that, Jiang Xun looked towards the fifth row for a split second before she bowed to the audience and slowly walked off the stage.
