Chapter 531: Investigation delayed
Qin Yan said, "Mom, don’t worry. Everything is alright. We should just let go of the past events and focus on the future. Many things are awaiting us and we should just look forward from now on."
Fang Zichen nodded. Indeed, looking at the past was of no use to them. Many things awaited them in the future.
Han Cheng also looked up after hearing Qin Yan’s words. As his guilt diminished for a bit, the surprise that he had gotten after knowing that Qin Yan herself was Dr. Q evaded his senses.
He asked, "Miss Qin, can you still treat my Zichen? I know that we were at fault for not trusting you and thus I sincerely apologize to you for this behavior. I hope you can treat my wife."
Han Cheng basically pleaded with Qin Yan for treating Fang Zichen. Although he felt that Qin Yan was not a person to hold grudges, he apologized sincerely because of Xi Ting. Xi Ting was popular to hold grudges against people who had wronged any of his closed ones. And he could not be pleased easily. Thus, sincere apology to Qin Yan would help them as Xi Ting would know that they had not devalued his fiancé or taken her for granted.
Qin Yan was not surprised by Han Cheng’s words. Although Fang Zichen was her mother and she would definitely treat her, she was not someone who would be at whim of anyone. Thus, she felt relieved that Han Cheng was sincere with his words and gave her the respect that she deserved.
She replied, "Uncle Han, I will definitely help my mother. But I hope that whatever happened till now would not happen again. Because of my identity, many people will try to sabotage me, so I hope that you can trust me from now on, no matter what the rumors say."
Han Cheng and Fang Zichen both nodded, "We promise you that such thing will not happen again."
Qin Yan glanced at Xi Ting and then looked at the Han couple, "Okay then, we need to travel to C Nation. The arrangements for mother’s treatment have already been made there. I will accompany my mom and ensure that nothing goes wrong with her during the travel."
"Sure," Han Cheng agreed readily.
The next day, all four of them boarded Xi Ting’s private plane. It was a six-hour flight from the M nation to the C Nation. During the flight, Qin Yan took great care of Fang Zichen. Being taken care by her daughter, Fang Zichen’s heart was full of joy. The paleness of her face reduced a bit as she was in a good mental state.
