Chapter 99: Missing her
Qin Yan walked back to her building with the grocery items she had purchased. When anybody saw her, they were shocked seeing a young girl carry so much grocery in her arms.
Many of them even came forward to help her, but Qin Yan refused everyone politely. When she reached her building, the security guard also offered to help her.
Qin Yan refused him politely and brought the groceries in the elevator. This much weight did not matter to her. She was accustomed to lift even more weight.
Qin Yan noticed a delivery boy in the elevator. He was holding a takeout of Gold and Silver Pavilion. ’Since when does Gold and Silver Pavilion offer takeouts,’ she thought.
Gold and Silver Pavilion was a high end restaurant which did not offer facility of takeouts. No matter how much money one is willing to pay, the Gold and Silver Pavilion would not offer takeouts to anyone.
Qin Yan pushed the button of 18th floor on the panel. She noticed that the delivery guy also intended to go to her floor only.
As the elevator door opened on the 18th floor, the delivery guy walked out opposite to Qin Yan’s condo and rang the doorbell.
Qin Yan gathered the grocery bags and got out of the elevator. As she was putting in the password, she heard the door opposite to her open.
She glanced backward to see a man in the wheelchair. His long legs were visible to Qin Yan but his face was blocked by the delivery guy standing in front of him.
The man took the delivery and closed the door. The whole process did not take even a minute as if the man was in some kind of hurry.
’It seems like the next door neighbour is quite an influential person to get a takeout from Gold and Silver Pavilion,’ Qin Yan thought.
