Chapter 85: Moonpie
Listening to Elder Su, Qin Yan nodded and proceeded towards the hospital room. As soon as she reached the door, her path was blocked by two bodyguards.
Elder Su looked at the situation and told Xi Jung, "Mr. Xi, don’t worry. If anything goes wrong, I will take responsibility."
Xi Jung the nodded at the bodyguards and receiving their boss’ permission, they stepped aside allowing Qin Yan to enter.
Xi Jung gazed at Elder Su, his expression clearly asking for an explanation.
Elder Su sighed. Having a disciple was not easy. If it was not for Qin Yan, nobody would have dared to question him.
But he understood. The young master of Xi family was too important of a person. He had already been attacked once because of which he was still lying on the bed.
It was not surprising for the Xi family to maintain such vigilance. Someone had correctly quoted, ’Once bitten, twice shy.’
This quote explained all the actions of Xi Jung.
Looking at the inquiring gaze of the young man, Elder Su said, "Mr. Xi, you might have heard that I have retired from the medical circle, right?"
Xi Jung nodded confusedly. ’What does this have to do with Qin Yan’s capabilities?’
"You must be wondering why I am saying all this, so I want to clarify that my retirement was not a rumour," Elder Su told Xi Jung.
