Chapter 31: He doesn’t want to wake up
The psychiatrist, after examining Xi Ting, finally got an answer. After the doctors heard his diagnosis, they frowned. Although they were not fully sure of the diagnosis, they finally had a reason to tell the Xi family.
So, when Xi Jung asked about his brother, the psychiatrist told him that Xi Ting was unconscious not because of any physical issue but because he himself didn’t want to wake up.
This normally happened when the patient had lost his will to live because of some or other reason. The most common reason was the death of their beloved or any family member.
Xi Jung was even more puzzled after finding this. He didn’t know why his strong-willed brother suddenly did not want to regain consciousness.
The doctor informed him that if he wanted Xi Ting to wake up, he had to give him a reason to live. Xi Jung explained everything to his parents.
Li Gui cried, "Why would Ting do this to us! Doesn’t he know how anxious we are seeing him in this state! Why doesn’t he want to wake up?" Thinking of her beloved son, Li Gui cried bitterly.
Xi Qinghe’s eyes turned misty. He controlled himself and coaxed his wife, "Honey, don’t be like this. If you break down, what will happen to us? Now is not the time to cry. We need to think of a solution to this problem. Crying won’t help."
Li Gui also understood this but she couldn’t help but cry. She still restrained herself after hearing her husband’s words and nodded, "Yes, we need to find a solution."
Xi Jung looked at his parents. He was quite stressed about the situation of his family. Not only did he have to handle the family but he also had to handle the work of the Xi Corporation in place of his brother.
He missed Xi Ting dearly. Now he understood that he was able to live a carefree life because his brother was blocking all the troubles for him. His eyes were filled with tears but he didn’t let them fall.
He silently wiped his eyes and said, "I think only baby can help brother wake up. He is his child and brother would surely not ignore the plea of his own son."
Xi Qinghe acknowledged his son’s idea. Even Li Gui felt that this was the only way.
