Chapter 24: Challenge
Because of the birthmark on her face and because she liked to be alone, Qiao Qing had once been bullied for a while.
Even until now, she was still one of the loners in class. So when she saw red ink on hers and Qin Yan’s desk in the morning, her first thought was that it was targeted at her.
It was as if she didn’t deserve to live in this world because the birthmark on her face made her look ugly. But the gossip of other students made her realise that it was not targeted at her but at Qin Yan.
Being teenagers, the young boys and girls acted recklessly however they liked and they didn’t know how to respect others at all.
Qin Yan had no intention of acknowledging the nonsense of this bully. She refused to bow to anyone and didn’t wish to waste her time giving air to his arrogance.
Han Jun was quite surprised to see the lack of response from Qin Yan. Usually girls would be the first to give in. The boys would resist him but girls would not. This was because of two reasons. Nobody wanted to come into the bad books of Han Jun. Secondly, because he was handsome, girls liked his behaviour and wanted to let him notice them.
Qin Yan’s lack of response did give him a surprise but more importantly, he took it as a challenge. ’Let’s see how tough this girl can be,’ Han Jun looked at Qin Yan interestingly.
At noon, Qin Yan went to the cafeteria at a later time, mainly because she didn’t want to squeeze into the crowd with other people, and Qiao Qing went along with her.
When the two of them finished eating and were about to leave, a boy holding a full bowl of soup suddenly swayed his body, and the bowl tilted toward Qin Yan.
