Chained Hearts: From Slavery to Sovereignty

Chapter 122: Crossed every limits

Cassian gritted his teeth, his entire body straining as he tried—again—to yank his fist back. But no matter how much force he used, it was utterly useless.

Dorian’s grip was firm, unyielding, as if Cassian’s strength was nothing more than a mere inconvenience. And because of this, humiliation burned through him.

He had fought countless battles, survived impossible odds, and yet—he could not even free himself from this one man’s hold. Is he kidding him?

His frustration grew with each passing second, his chest rising and falling in quick, angry breaths. "Let go," he demanded with a low voice, barely holding back his temper.

But Dorian did not seem the least bit affected. If anything, his smirk widened as he tilted his head, looking down at Cassian as if he found his struggle amusing. "Hmm? Let go? But didn’t you just grab onto me like your life depended on it?"

Cassian stiffened.

The moment he had desperately held onto Dorian’s back flashed in his mind, and his face burned even hotter. That had been an accident! A mistake! He had been distracted and did not even realize what he had done.

But Dorian had no intention of letting him live it down.

The man lowered his head, his lips brushing against Cassian’s knuckles once more before...

A slow, deliberate lick.

Cassian instantly flinched, his entire body locking up. His mind blanked for a full second before his anger exploded.
