Chapter 37: Inhuman High School
Swallowing her saliva, the girl nervously looked at Xiaofeng.
Xiaofeng smiled and then retreated to a corner.
Seemingly assured that Xiaofeng posed no threat, the girl crawled over as if she had gone mad and started eating the food.
Buns, braised pork, she stuffed them into her mouth.
She ate for more than ten minutes before finally stopping.
Even when she stopped, she continued to eat slowly, in small bites.
"Now, can we talk? I saved you, and I can help you," Xiaofeng said in a friendly tone.
At this moment, the girl slowly raised her head, looking warily at Xiaofeng through her disheveled hair.
"Don’t worry, I won’t harm you. Those two people who were chasing you, I’ve already taken care of them. We’re safe now," Xiaofeng said gently to the girl.
"Can you tell me what’s happening inside the school? How did you manage to escape from there?"
"They... they are not human. They’re even scarier than flesh-eating zombies!" the girl said fearfully, her voice quivering, her hands clutching her ragged and messy clothes, appearing bewildered.
