In order to thoroughly cleansed Konoha and Land of Fire from Danzo's men, Nagasawa deliberately brought Danzo's former partner, Orochimaru, to carry out the mission together.
Orochimaru himself was also quite confused. He was in the laboratory, and Danzo suddenly disappeared overnight.
From a respected elder of Konoha to a prisoner that everyone jeered at.
However, Nagasawa gave him a hand and helped him deal with some things related to Danzo.
As a former member of Root, Orochimaru should've been a subject of Anbu's investigation as well.
However, the person in charge was Nagasawa, so Orochimaru was safe for now.
"Nagasawa-san, I have to thank you for your help." Orochimaru thanked Nagasawa as they walked in a forest not far away from Konoha.
"Well, Danzo was the one that kidnaps the villager. I don't think you're involved that deep." Nagasawa chuckled.
Of course, he would not let Orochimaru's previous human experiments be exposed.
Wouldn't that mean that all his effort for Orochimaru would be in vain? If that were the case, Orochimaru might defect from Konoha much earlier than in the manga.
After all, unlike Danzo, there was still a chance for Orochimaru to clear his name.
