Chapter 72: Dissolve the Root
Minato saw that Danzo's attitude was so bad, so he didn't care. He was busy, right? Well, that wouldn't be for long.
Minato handed the information he had prepared in advance to Sarutobi Hiruzen and the two consultants. His expression became serious as he said,
"Elder Danzo, has Root been in contact with Land of Rivers' Golden Organization and leaked out Konoha's secret to the Golden Organization?"
Danzo was stunned for a moment, then immediately yelled, "Are you accusing me? Do you know who I am? Do you know how much I have done for Konoha?"
Danzo was furious. Who did Minato think he was? How dare he interrogate him like he was some sort of a criminal?
Minato's expression remained unchanged as he continued: "Elder Danzo, please do not change the topic. We are not discussing your contribution but the matters between Root and Golden Organization."
If Danzo's words could intimidate him, then he was not Namikaze Minato.
Sarutobi Hiruzen mediated the situation, "Danzo, mind your attitude. Minato is now the Fourth Hokage."
"Hmph." Danzo snorted and said, "Root indeed has a little cooperation with the Golden Organization, but that is merely to the extent of purchasing ninja tools. Leaking Konoha's secrets is utter bullshit."
Minato smiled faintly and said, "Isn't it confidential to expose the whereabouts of the Shinobi carrying out the S-Rank mission?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Danzo said, pretending not to know anything.
