Daoist Competition

Chapter 1133 - 306: Purging the Murky Waves, Clearing the Universe (Part 2)

Elder Jin looked at the few fellow Daoists beside him and smiled bitterly, saying: "The Divine Passage Skills of Mingcang Sect and Yuxiao Sect are truly formidable."

A red-robed old Daoist, looking gloomy, interjected: "Who would have thought that Zhong Muqing was like Huo Xuan, possessing two skills of which the water and wood complement each other, surprisingly mastering the ’Shaoyue Qinglei.’ Many of our Daoist skills were shattered by him, and two fellow disciples fell victim to this technique unexpectedly."

Elder Jin sighed. In this battle, even two of the Dharma Treasures he carried were destroyed, enabling him to escape.

Elder Qi, however, seemed indifferent and boldly stated: "Why mourn here, Brother Daoists? Although many Daoists fell in this battle, we’ve delayed the three sects’ disciples from reaching Extreme Sky for more than a moment. I believe the Six Sects Sword Fighting Disciples should have set things up securely within. As long as they obtain the ’Qiantian Junyang Essence,’ even if all of us perish, it would still be a victory."

Elder Jin glanced around hesitantly, saying: "Haven’t Jiuling Sect fellow Daoists returned yet?"

Elder Qi pondered for a moment and responded: "Going to intercept Yao Yin and Guangyuan is actually even more dangerous than your route and mine. The others are manageable, but that Dragon Carp Demon’s Daoist Cultivation is akin to a Nascent Soul Third Realm Cultivator. With the Forbidden Locking Heaven and Earth Skill, if they can’t defeat the opponent, they themselves will find it difficult to escape."

Elder Jin nodded silently. Yao Yin and Guangyuan two sects have fewer people, likely having settled their affairs early, and not arriving now suggests dire circumstances.

The red-robed old Daoist spoke, trying to reassure: "Jiuling Sect disciples are different from us. Their spiritual thoughts are many; even in death, their Divine Souls are not entirely extinguished. Just need nourishment within the Spirit Cave, sacrificing a Hua Dan Cultivator daily for a hundred days, find a suitable body to harbor the Divine Soul, and after a hundred years of cultivation, they can be restored as before."

Elder Jin nodded in agreement repeatedly, affirming aloud.

But he knew the claim was merely talk. While Jiuling Sect indeed possesses such Secret Technique, achieving it isn’t so simple. The cost is far beyond this.

Even if it indeed succeeds, there would be no further Daoist Cultivation advancement in their lifetime, unless it is someone extremely crucial; otherwise, Jiuling Sect wouldn’t undertake this lightly.

The red-robed old Daoist was about to say more when a colossal force suddenly came from nowhere, pressing onto him, as if trapped by an invisible cage. His face changed instantly, and a Dharma Treasure resembling a compass flew out from his body, blocking in the front. A sword talisman flashing with sword light rapidly approached, attacking the Dharma Treasure, and the two collided, producing a metallic sound so loud it almost ruptured eardrums.

As soon as the Dharma Treasure flew up, he had already activated his Protective Treasure Light. But what followed wasn’t solely that sword talisman. First, a peculiar red light swept in, dissipating the treasure light, throwing him into panic. Attempting to struggle, dozens of Gang Thunder imbued with immense power closely followed, striking him immediately, with a booming noise, blowing him into a pile of bones.

The others noticed the anomaly simultaneously. While attempting to turn their Mysterious Skills, they found it difficult to fly away. Nonetheless, all being sect elders, they reacted swiftly, releasing both Protective Dharma Treasures and Treasure Lights simultaneously.

Among them, an elder seemed to locate the attacker’s position, suddenly shouting, conjuring a flickering blue fire atop, pinching a spell, over a hundred flying flames soared in that direction, yet mid-flight countless White Feathers collided, halting the flames.

Then a purple Thunder Light struck, breaking his Treasure Light in an instant, causing him to spit fresh blood, plummeting downward. As a bright light flashed before him, he suddenly glimpsed a sword light rapidly approaching. Shocked, he pressed his chest instinctively; a layer of silver mercury circulated, blocking the sword light at the neck, narrowly saving his life, though drenched in cold sweat.

After releasing his Dharma Treasure, Elder Jin scanned around. Noticing countless talisman papers rising like banners, each towering three zhang, inscribed with Erosion Text and gleaming golden light endlessly, realizing the situation was dire. If trapped in place, they could only await slaughter. He shouted loudly: "Everyone, follow me, charging outward together!"

The rest immediately understood his meaning. Though escaping while flying was tough, if the five joined forces to propel the Cloud Raft beneath them, they could breakthrough. Just reaching a hundred li away would offer a chance for survival.

Immediately they activated Mana, vigorously lifting the Cloud Raft upward. Once they reached an arrow’s height, a rumbling sound emerged from the clouds. Looking up in horror, they saw that the black mist atop, akin to waves, ceased rolling. Behold, an immense hand formed from dense Yellow Smoke materialized, carrying mountainous force, crashing down from above!

Elder Qi yelled, sending a Dharma Treasure upwards, only for rainbow light to enter the dense Yellow Smoke, disappearing like a calf swallowed by the sea.

All five faces changed drastically, knowing this was a life-or-death moment, allowing no hesitation, they screamed in unison, deploying all their Mana. Atop, Gang Cloud instantly swirled, expanding to a hundred zhang, transforming to gas, soaring upwards to confront.

A sound reverberated like mountains split apart, the Xuanhuang Great Hand shattered and dispersed. Yet under this blow, the five Demon Sect elders endured rebound force, scattering Treasure Light, spitting blood, falling onto the Cloud Raft.

The black cloud seemed stirred by the colossal hand, parting outward, revealing a graceful and heroic Daoist. With sleeves fluttering, riding a carp in the sky, behind him Five-Colored Light Qi continually evolved, gazing coldly below, slowly raising a hand, pointing downward. From the Light Qi, a yellow ray and water ray surged a thousand zhang, simultaneously descending with a roar, seeming to topple Ten Thousand Mountains, the Milky Way reversing, unleashing a cataclysmic torrent!
