Chapter 809 - 145: Demon Cloud Destroys the City, Divine Thunder Displays Its Might (Part 2)

Although the three demon tribes joined forces, their strength was immense, yet insufficient to satisfy their hunger. Therefore, after emerging from the mountains, they each parted ways, and since the Quan He tribe was the strongest, Chui State City became the meat by their mouth.

General Han casually bowed to Quan He and then waved his hand, leading over ten trusted aides skilled in flying escape techniques, stirring up a fierce black wind, flying towards Chui State.

Quan He watched them leave, feeling inexplicably uneasy.

Although he led the tribes smoothly all the way without encountering any obstruction, crossing the river deep into Wei Country was not his wish. However, as the new tribe leader, he had to comply with the desires of several demon generals within the tribe to win over the crowd.

But having crossed the river, if Xuanmen Feathered Warriors came to slay demons and exorcise evil, it would be difficult to retreat unscathed.

As he was feeling vexed, a trusted aide next to him suddenly pointed to the sky, saying: "Your Majesty, what is that?"

Quan He looked up into the sky, his pupils shrank suddenly, saying: "Star Pivot Palace?"

His heart sank; his fears were coming true. In the Xuanmen Sect north of East Splendor, those capable of wielding flying palaces were solely from the Mingcang Sect, and those who used them as vehicles were at least Hua Dan Cultivators.

What made his heart race was yet to come. In a blink, another flying palace emerged from the clouds above, followed by a myriad of flying boats and immortal beasts, seemingly uncountable.

Witnessing such a scene, the demons below showed signs of panic: "Your Majesty, it’s the Xuanmen disciples, what should we do?"

Quan He sternly replied, "Why panic! Look at that flying palace, there are only two Hua Dan Cultivators; those followers are just average ones. Our tribe has over forty thousand demons; even if there were twice as many, what do we have to fear?"

Upon hearing this, the subordinates felt it made some sense, calming down slightly.

Quan He clenched his fists tightly, only he knew that when the Mingcang Sect acted, how could they not be fully prepared? Their arrival was undoubtedly a thunderous strike!

Even if he could repel the current enemies, returning safely to the northern shore was already impossible.

In the flying palace at this moment, Zhang Yan waved his large sleeve, and smoke surged at the Jade Stairs ahead, revealing the scene below. He stood up, gazing downwards, seeing the vast demon crowd like ants, covering the ground like a thick carpet.

With tens of thousands of demons advancing, it was impossible to conceal their presence; within an hour, they had already caught up.

He pondered briefly, realizing the tall demon general was headed in the direction of Chui State.

Although it was only over ten demon cultivators, it wasn’t difficult to eradicate the entire city, hence he couldn’t sit idly by; slaying them first was imperative, as for this place, with Han Suyi here, he was not worried about them escaping.

Therefore, he disregarded the demons below, urging the flying palace directly to bypass them and head towards Chui State.

General Han, with his aides, exerted themselves in flight, arriving above Chui State City in no time. Although the city walls were tall and majestic, in his eyes, they were merely paper-thin.

He sneered, abandoning the flying escape technique, didn’t even draw a handy weapon, and descended directly from the sky.

The people atop the city wall gazed in horror as a massive demon descended from the sky; even before touching down, the soldiers on the wall scattered in terror.

Seeing the dire situation, Jiang Daoist grabbed Master Yang, released Xuan Guang, and soared into the sky, avoiding the scene.

A loud explosion was heard; dust and debris flew everywhere as General Han collapsed a section of the wall with his descent, instantly killing several unprepared civil servants and elderly soldiers.

Seeing chaos all around, General Han laughed heartily, opened his mouth wide, and inhaled fiercely, drawing several escaping soldiers back into his maw.

He chewed, the sound of bones cracking and flesh tearing emerged, and moments later, trickles of fresh blood overflowed from the corners of his mouth.

Witnessing his act of consuming the living, even the bravest soldiers immediately dropped their weapons and fled.

Master Yang’s eyes turned red at the sight, crying out, "Jiang Daoist, don’t care for me, but stop this demon!"

His cry instantly attracted General Han’s attention, who turned his eyes, saw the two suspended by Xuan Guang, sneering, and threw a punch upwards.

Jiang Daoist was taken aback, knowing he was not a match for the demon, but when he tried to evade, he found himself seemingly caught by a vortex, unable to escape.

In the critical moment, he cast a spell, a layer of green light rose from his body, shuddered, and slipped away.

General Han exclaimed in surprise, unexpectedly his punch missed, and was about to strike again when he caught a glimpse of a cold light flying over, the chilling aura made his hair stand on end, hastily he raised his arm to block it.

With a "crack," the light sliced off his wrist.

General Han was shocked, angered, and shouted, "Who dares to sneak attack the general of your house?"

"Only a mere demon, how dare you title yourself general?"

As a voice sounded mid-air, the clouds parted, revealing an imposing Daoist, sleeves fluttering, surrounded by mist, stepping out from the horizon.

General Han involuntarily retreated a few steps; the Daoist exerted immense pressure on him.

He roared angrily, exercised his cultivation technique, regenerating his wrist, then spread his hands, casting out a patterned long blade, he stomped fiercely, leaped into the air, and with a loud shout, wielded the blade towards the Daoist.

Zhang Yan chuckled lightly, pointed his finger, releasing a purple thunderbolt, its brilliance illuminating the sky, striking directly at General Han’s body.

A deafening thunder echoed, shaking the entire city, causing everyone present to stumble and fall.

Looking again at General Han, he was already reduced to ashes, no remains left.
