Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess

Yue Zhiya who had been sneaking around the manor all night and thought that no one had noticed him was stunned when he was called out by the lady who looks like his grandmother. He didn’t want to come out but when he saw the only elf looking at him who was in stealth mode smiling, he realized that these people already knew about his presence from the beginning. They just didn’t bother with him and let him do as he wished inside the manor.

Now that he had been called over, Yue Zhiya had no other choice but to appear before them. He hasn’t eaten for a while and despite being healed by Yue Xuexia the brat has once again skipped lunch making his stomach a bit sensitive with food and needs to be adjusted again. That’s why Yue Xuexia cooks simple dishes for the kids. A seafood congee, egg custard, steamed pork buns and a small plate of pickled immortal veggies were placed in front of him, making his mouth water and stomach growls.

The Moon Goddess had ignored that the child had called him someone who looks like his grandmother. She had guessed who that person was. After all, it is indeed true that she looks more like her mother than her father.

Yue Xuexia said, "Talk later, eat first. You’ve watched me make this food the whole time. There is no way I can poison it."

Looking reluctantly at the dishes in front of him, Yue Zhiya was stunned as he looked at the lady in front of him. Unlike when there are guests where she keeps her face hidden, before him she removed her veil. It’s just despite how beautiful the lady in front of him is, she is still expressionless like a doll.

Yue Zhiya didn’t move to grab the food right away and stare at Yue Xuexia who was also looking at him.

"Why... Why are you kind... to me?" He asked.

The Moon Goddess grabbed the spoon on the table and gently placed it on the boy’s hand.

"Because you are just a child," said Yue Xuexia. "You can continue asking after you eat."

The young one from the Yue Clan grabbed the spoon that was placed on his hand. When he looked up, he saw that Yue Xuexia is asking someone to bring over water and other things and most of this will most likely fall on to him. He already knows that this lady seems to be soft towards children.

Yue Zhiya asked, "Jiejie, what is your name?"

"Call me Aunt Xue," said Yue Xuexia.

Yue Zhiya nodded his head and said, "Aunt Xue!"

"Alright, eat now. After that take a bath and change your clothes then you can ask as you want. With me here, even that bitch Titania came over, she wouldn’t be able to harm you," stated Yue Xuexia.

The Moon Goddess had actually seen what those fools from the Death Valley had done to her nephew and that it had something to do with the Fairy Queen. This was her revenge to her Yue Clan for not helping her remove the curses she had placed on her and her race.

The Moon Goddess mumbles, "I should have just killed that bug."

"Sweetie~, words, there is a child," the Elf King Andromeda said.

Though he didn’t actually like the Moon Clan originally, now that Su Hialun had become his and Anastasia’s daughter through Elven Bloodline awakening, he also treated her daughter’s bloodlines as his family. That’s why he cares for the Moon Goddess and now at Yue Zhiya.

The Moon Goddess closed her mouth and said, "Eat well. I’ll make you some desserts as well."

Yue Xuexia prepares to head to the kitchen to make some sweets. When the boy heard about it, his eyes sparkled for a moment. Her family loves sweets like her, so she wasn’t surprised to see that the boy likes it as well.

She pats his head and says, "Wait for a moment, Aunt will make some for you."

After the Moon Goddess had headed to the kitchen, Tan Bingyu was actually delighted. After all, it’s been a while since her Mistress showed such a smile on her face. Ever since the Yue family had disappeared after the said life trial of her mistress, so has her smile. When she first met the Mistress, she was just an innocent girl who loved to smile and joke around. When she first entered the cultivation world, there had always been protecting her like Taiyang and Lord Shen Jueyang.

After she got strong enough, Lord Shen Jueyang left for something personal and the Mistress chose not to leave with him. She said that she was still not strong enough. Now she is finally heading to the place she was meant to be. I just hope that she will be given time to heal and no longer get hurt.

Yue Zhiya under the urging of the elders who were in the living room with him, he heartily ate his meal. Even though he is a cultivator and a true god that didn’t need to eat, his clan practiced eating recently and they all had gotten used to eating. He had been caught for a whole month and wasn’t even given anything to eat. He can’t even cook so it was the worst feeling for him to eat Bigu Pills to keep himself full.

Now being able to eat real food once again made him extremely happy. It’s just he couldn’t understand why he feels at ease surrounded by these people, especially that lady who wanted to be called Aunt Xue and this male elf who looks at him the same way his grandfather looks at him.

Yue Zhiya turns his head and looks innocently at Elf King Andromeda after finishing his meal.

"Elder who are you? Are you really an elf?"

Yue Zhiya seems to be interested in the ears of the Elf King. The Elf King didn’t seem to mind the boy’s reaction to his appearance. It can be said that this reaction wasn’t that surprising. After all, when the Immortal Star Emperor ordered that the World Tree is to be destroyed, most elves had died with the world tree that they were protecting. In the current era, the Elves are extremely rare.

King Andromeda carried the boy and placed him on his lap and said, "You can call this old man, Great great grandfather or just Yeye will do."

"Yeye!" Yue Zhiya calls. "Yeye, I am Yue Zhiya. Eight years old."

"Nice to meet you. I am Andromeda. Call Yeye," said the Elf King to the boy.

The two, one young and one old, got along too well. They even ate snacks together and were gorging like there is someone who plans to steal it from them. Now long after the people from the tailoring store had come as well. Yue Xuexia had the boy get his measurements so some new clothes will be made for him as well.

At first, Yue Zhiya was declining the clothes but when he learned that his current clothes was something the Moon Goddess had made for him by hand and that if he didn’t accept the tailored clothing, Yue Xuexia would make another set for him with his own hands. Yue Zhiya didn’t want the beautiful hands of his Aunt Xue to be injured and had no other choice but to accept the clothes instead.

After lunch, everyone had gathered near the river bank to play. Yue Zhiya was fishing with Grandfather Tan while his Aunt Xue was at the hammock enjoying the shadows of the tree that protects her from sunlight and the wind breeze that seemed refreshing.

Of course, the next morning as promised, Yue Xuexia had brought Yue Zhiya with her to say his goodbyes to the children whose parents had come over to take them away. Among them is a boy that had secretly helped Yue Zhiya with food, almost sharing everything he had gotten with him.

The young man is a cute little one with white cat ears, "Gege, thank you for saving us! Have you found your family? Is that pretty lady your mother? You look so similar!"

"Do we look similar?" Yue Zhiya asked in confusion.

The white cat-eared boy said, "Yes. Your eyes are of the same shade!"

Yue Zhiya was stunned. He knew that the cat-eared boy in front of him is from a special cat clan that can see through all lies and illusion. It was because of this reason that they were being hunted. It just so happened that this boy is one of the luckiest ones that hasn’t got his eyes gouged out yet. During the time that someone among the guards had suggested to gouge out this boy’s eyes that he finally snaps at them. He was able to stop the people from digging the boy’s eyes and he ended up in chains in the end.

The white cat eared boy was now in tears as he looked at Yue Zhiya and said, "Gege will Xiao Bai still be able to see you in the future?" This boy’s name is Hui Baiye.

Yue Zhiya took out his personal token which he had recently made with his Aunt Xue Yue. It’s a light yellow full moon with a huge lightning shaped insignia. It was made like this because his strongest power was lightning instead of moon energy. He made it into a necklace and put it on the neck of Hui Baiye.

He said, "I live in the Everlasting Moon Empire. If you want to see me just let someone see this and tell them my name. My name is Yue Zhiya."

"Gege, my name is Hui Baiye. Don’t forget about me!"
