Chapter 814 - 380: Void Compass
Quickly traversing the slightly inclined floating island of the Spirit Realm, the group, led by Leon, circled to the front of the palace.
What met their eyes, aside from the ruined destruction, was a stunning scene of battlefield remnants.
The wide steps were full of potholes and cracks, as if they had once witnessed an extremely fierce battle. Everywhere lay the destroyed remnants of humanoid and quadrupedal Mechanical constructs.
Leon couldn’t help but halt, his gaze sweeping across this battlefield filled with ancient remnants.
These constructs seemed to be a combination of white hardstone and metal components, some over three meters tall and humanoid in shape, with armor-like outer shells, a disk-shaped head structure with curved horns, and draped in battle robes and tattered streamers bearing a mysterious single eye. Scattered around their hands and the ground were large weapons, completely unsuitable for ordinary human use, along with massive metal bows that lacked bowstrings and arrows.
Some of the remnants were purely beast-shaped, with four claws and blade-like segmented tails, and heads in some kind of ring structure.
The bodies of these damaged Magic Statues lay open, embedded with dull, broken energy crystals and Demon Rune conductor circuits.
Leon speculated that these were wartime creations of the Ancient Lorelette Civilization. Having already seen Helarnian alchemical constructs and Magic Statues in the underground mines of Avalon, he wasn’t surprised by this, thinking that the Lorelettiards’ expertise in magical machinery could not have been inferior to that of the Ancient Helarnians.
He walked to the remains of a giant warrior-shaped Magic Guide Mechanical. Honestly, seeing a magical technology construct that could apparently be reproduced on the Omlos Continent made him want to take one back for detailed study.
Unfortunately, he didn’t have the spatial storage equipment found in various works from his past life, nor did he have the means to carry such a massive remnant amidst the current situation.
