Chapter 162 Meeting Her? (Bonus)
In the heart of the fae realm, sunlight filtered through the tall stained-glass windows of the royal court, casting soft colors across the marble floor. The room felt alive with quiet magic, pulsing in the walls and the air itself. It was a place of elegance and silence, where every sound echoed with meaning.
At the far end of the hall sat the ruler of the fae. A golden crown sat on his head. He wore fitted white trousers tucked neatly into pale gold boots. His royal shirt was buttoned to the collar, lined with intricate embroidery that shimmered faintly under the light.
His long white hair was tied at the top of his head, while the rest flowed down his back. His skin was so fair, as if it were untouched by time, and his blue eyes were sharp and cold. He carried the weight of age and authority, and the stillness around him made it clear that every word he spoke carried power.
The quiet was broken by the sudden rush of footsteps. A messenger burst through the doors and fell to one knee before the throne, panting as he caught his breath.
"My Lord," the messenger said quickly. "We’ve spotted three intruders. They have passed through the border, and we believe they’re headed toward the city."
The fae ruler’s expression did not change.
"Do not approach them yet," he said calmly. "If they can cross the border, then they must have gotten permission. Only watch them for now, report to me every action of theirs."
The messenger hesitated for a second, but then bowed again.
"Yes, my Lord."
With that, he rose and hurried back down the hall, his footsteps fading into the distance.
The ruler leaned back slightly in his seat, folding his hands together. His eyes glinted like ice.
"Interesting," he said under his breath.
