Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet

Chapter 129 Surprise?

"This... This..." My voice trailed off.

When the door opened, a soft golden glow greeted me. The room was quiet, but the kind that made your heart beat a little slower, like time had decided to pause.

Candlelight flickered along the dark walls, casting gentle shadows that swayed with the flames. There weren’t many, but it was just enough to warm the space and brush everything in a soft amber hue. The usual coldness of his room was gone, replaced by something softer.

Rose petals dotted the floor in a careful trail, leading from the door to the edge of the bed. They looked like they had been placed one by one.

The bed had been made with black sheets, smooth and untouched, except for the gentle fold of the covers at the corner. A few petals rested on the pillow, their deep red color standing out against the dark fabric.

The scent of roses lingered faintly in the air, mixed with the subtle masculine scent that always followed him. It was just enough to make me feel like I’d stepped into another world.

The curtains were drawn, shutting out the cloudy sky. The only glow came from the soft flames, flickering against the shadows.

My hands flew to my mouth. ’This... this is impossible. There is no way in the name of a psychopath that Damon would do this... But he did.’

Tears streamed down my cheeks, and my heart pounded in a beautiful rhythm. ’His inkling of treating a lady had risen to 20 percent.’
