Chapter 31 The Flood
I entered the car quickly to avoid annoying him. As we sat behind the car, I couldn’t help the curiosity that was running through my veins.
"Master," I began, but he didn’t reply to me, though I knew he was listening. "How did you get this car? It looks very advanced."
Damon spared a glance at me. "Aren’t you an Alpha’s child? How come you don’t know?"
"Me and my family were not that close, so I couldn’t ask them any questions," I fumbled with my hands.
He exhaled before parting his lips to speak. "These cars were gotten from the human world. There isn’t much of it, because it requires fuel to be able to work—something we don’t have. So we could only get a few of them, basically one car to every Alpha of the pack."
"So there is also a human world... Master, can we see?" My voice sounded louder, as I was excited to see the human world over here. I couldn’t help but wonder what it looked like. If they have cars, does it mean that it is the same world as mine? And was there any possibility for me to meet my mother and father?
"No," he replied curtly, bursting my balloon into nothing but shreds.
"But Master..." he raised up his hand sternly, stopping me midway.
I closed my lips in dejection. ’Fine, even though he doesn’t agree now, I’ll surely find a way to go to the human world,’ I thought inwardly as I returned my gaze outside the window of the car.
