Chapter 134: Two Girls About to Fight! Directly Exposed as Devourer Girl!
Galacta was extremely smart.
You could say she was a mini Tony — or maybe Tony was really just a mini Devourer Girl!
That’s why the phone she pulled out could see straight through Hela’s body and scan her data.
At that moment, Hela wasn’t using divine power to protect herself, so with her current Elder God–level strength, Galacta’s scan caught everything instantly.
As for why Hela’s Nightsword had no effect on Galacta—well, that was only natural.
This was Devourer Girl. The daughter of Galactus! Her father was Multiversal-level!
So the moment she was born, Devourer Girl was already Universal-level. Between Elder God and Universal was a whole Sky Father level!
How could Hela possibly break through Galacta’s defense?
When she saw her Nightsword was completely useless, Hela realized the girl in front of her was probably terrifyingly strong.
"Ah~!"
Hela slapped the phone away.
Then her figure flashed as she landed on Godzilla’s head, shouting,
"Big guy, blast her!"
Godzilla sensed this woman was no ordinary opponent, so he didn’t hesitate—he opened his mouth and unleashed it.
Atomic breath!
"Beeeeep~ beeeep beeeep!"
"Boom~~~!"
As Godzilla charged up, a massive blue laser beam, dozens of meters thick, shot straight at Galacta.
She could’ve dodged it easily—just a flicker, and she’d be gone. But she didn’t. She stood there and took it head-on.
"Woooow~~~!!!"
Terrifying energy poured over Galacta. The heat was so intense that Hela, being too close, quickly flew back to watch from a distance.
But Galacta—Devourer Girl—only changed into tougher clothes so her regular ones wouldn’t get destroyed. Then she just stood there, looking completely comfortable.
"Delicious! This is really delicious!"
Hearing that, Hela froze. She actually ate Godzilla’s breath!?
What kind of monster was this!!!
After a while, Godzilla stopped, smoke hissing from his throat.
"Hiss~~~!"
Steam spewed from his mouth and nostrils like a pressure cooker.
But when he looked at Devourer Girl, Godzilla froze.
Not only was she completely fine, she was smiling, tilting her head back, exhaling happily.
When she felt his breath stop, Devourer Girl opened her eyes, looked at Godzilla strangely, and asked,
"Hey, big guy, why’d you stop?"
You’re asking me?
Godzilla was dumbfounded. His atomic breath had poured all over her, and she wasn’t even scratched!
Hela was stunned too. The big guy’s breath was so powerful—how could she be unharmed?
Impossible.
But the truth was, Godzilla’s atomic breath at most reached Sky Father–level—powerful enough to destroy a star.
But still... Devourer Girl’s level was far beyond his. They weren’t even in the same league.
A Universal-level being could crush countless Sky Father–level beings with ease.
"What kind of monster are you?" Hela asked, staring at Devourer Girl.
Honestly, she was a little scared. There was no way to break through her defense. How could they fight her?
Good thing the girl didn’t seem interested in attacking. Otherwise, she and Godzilla would already be dead.
Hearing Hela’s words, Devourer Girl slipped back into her windbreaker and brown sunglasses.
In the blink of an eye, she was standing in front of Hela again, holding the scanner she’d used earlier.
"Tell me where this came from first," she said. "Then I’ll tell you who I am."
"I don’t believe you," Hela said. "You tell me first!"
"I don’t believe you either," Devourer Girl shot back. "You first!"
"You!"
"You!"
The two glared at each other in a deadlock.
Hela turned her head stubbornly.
"Hmph, I’m not telling you!"
Galacta’s eyes narrowed. She raised her little fist.
"If you don’t tell me, I’ll hit you~!"
"....."
Why was she resorting to fists!?
Hela looked at that tiny fist. And she had a bad feeling—if it came down on her, she’d die...
So she hesitated, then said,
"How about we each tell a part of it?"
Devourer Girl thought it over, then nodded, lowering her fist.
"Fine. You go first."
Hela nodded, pointing toward a distant reef.
"Let’s talk over there."
The two of them flew over to the reef and sat down.
Only then did Hela begin.
"That enormous energy you sensed—it was given to me by someone else."
"?" Devourer Girl blinked. "If someone else gave it to you, why is it inside your stomach?"
"Ah, don’t worry about that!" Hela waved her hand. "It’s your turn now!"
Fair enough—one sentence each.
Devourer Girl thought for a moment.
"I’m from another planet."
"Of course I know that!" Hela waved impatiently. "Add another sentence. That only counts as half!"
Devourer Girl considered, then added,
"I’m not human either."
Actually... Hela wasn’t exactly human either.
But curiosity got the better of her. She leaned forward, pinching Devourer Girl’s arm and cheek.
"You’re not human, but you look exactly like one."
"This is just my human appearance," Devourer Girl explained. "It won’t ever change."
Fair enough.
Now it was Hela’s turn again.
She paused to think.
"Then I can’t give you the energy you want. It’s not mine—I asked someone else for it."
"You asked someone else?" Devourer Girl’s interest was instantly piqued. "Who? Tell me!"
"That’s another matter. You say yours first." Hela folded her arms across her chest.
It was Devourer Girl’s turn.
She thought for a moment, then said, "I only came to Earth recently. But it feels like I’ve existed for a very long time. My father is very powerful! He roams across countless universes!"
Hela saw how strong Devourer Girl was. If the daughter was this strong, then her father had to be unimaginably powerful. But she still wasn’t satisfied.
"You need to tell me about this energy. Why do you want it?"
Devourer Girl didn’t think much of the question. To her, it was fine to explain.
"Because of my constitution. It’s like a hereditary disease on Earth. I get hungry very quickly and need enormous amounts of energy."
Hela’s ears perked up at that.
Hungry? Could it be she wants to fight me for it?
"Then why not eat some other kind of energy? Why covet mine?" Hela pointed at the blazing sun above. "That sun is massive—go eat that instead!"
"I can’t." Devourer Girl shook her head. "I wish I could."
"But the energy I consume has to carry the aura of living beings."
"Just a few days ago, a Celestial was about to be born. I even wanted to stop it, but someone else dealt with it first."
"The birth of a Celestial would have drained the life energy of the entire Earth. What they demanded was far crueler than anything I would ever do."
Hearing that, Hela immediately understood what kind of crisis Lorien had saved the world from.
He really had saved all of humanity.
If he hadn’t gone to stop them—if he hadn’t left Gwen behind—the Earth would already be gone.
But if Devourer Girl needed this energy... then things were going to be troublesome.
As Hela fell into thought, Devourer Girl pressed her.
"Now it’s your turn. Where did you get that energy? I need it too."
"You got it, so why can’t I?"
Besides, Hela herself didn’t even want to give it up.
Hela hesitated for a long time, stammering, not knowing how to answer.
"Hurry up and tell me," Devourer Girl said. "I’ve already explained my reasons. At the very least, you should tell me yours."
Hela thought for a long while before sighing.
"This was given to me by a man..."
"Given what?"
"His... his... essence!"
A sudden idea struck Hela. She guessed that, as an alien, Devourer Girl wouldn’t understand what that meant.
And sure enough—
Devourer Girl tilted her head. "If he released so much essence, wouldn’t he be weak or in pain?"
"No, not at all." Hela smiled. "In fact, it makes him happy. I have two close sisters who also want his essence."
"—Hsss!!!"
Devourer Girl’s eyes lit up.
Her, plus two others. That meant three people in total were receiving it!
So extravagant! So generous!
Such enormous energy, just given away so freely?
Then maybe...
"Can I have some too?" Devourer Girl asked eagerly.
"I can’t decide that." Hela shook her head. "It depends on whether he’s willing. I don’t have the final say."
"Then take me to see him," Devourer Girl said quickly.
"That’s not possible either." Hela shook her head again. "Without his permission, I can’t just bring strangers to meet him."
"Then call him now. Make a video call. You should at least be able to do that, right?"
"That’s even more impossible!" At the thought of calling him right now, Hela frantically shook her head. "He’s working. You can’t disturb him during work hours. Only after he’s off duty."
"He still has to go to work???!!!"
Devourer Girl was stunned.
Someone who could hand out such vast energy still needed to clock in at a job?
No way.
Why? On what grounds?
Earth didn’t deserve someone like that.
"It’s just his normal work as a normal person." Hela waved her hand to explain. "Powers are powers. Daily life is daily life."
"Didn’t you say you also wanted to live as a normal person on Earth?"
Hearing that, Devourer Girl thought it over and realized Hela was right.
At the same time, her eyes lit up.
She, too, wanted to live peacefully on Earth. What a wonderful, happy life that would be.
As long as she could keep obtaining this energy, she could continue living as a normal person forever.
So Devourer Girl said expectantly, "Alright then, let’s wait until he’s off work. Then you can video call him. How about it?"
"This..."
Hela was still hesitant.
But when she turned and exchanged a glance with Godzilla, both of them knew—they couldn’t defeat Devourer Girl.
After a moment of thought, Hela finally nodded.
"Fine."
And so the two began chatting normally.
What’s your name, what’s mine, where do you live, what do you do in real life?
And so on, and so forth.
...
On the other side.
After slacking off for most of the day, Lorien was surprised in the afternoon by a visitor he hadn’t expected—The Ancient One, appearing in her astral state.
Her form was completely illusory, yet her clothes and appearance remained unchanged. She looked exactly as Lorien had last seen her.
Seeing her, Lorien smiled.
"It seems you’ve stabilized your astral state."
"Yes," The Ancient One nodded. "But this also means I must leave."
Lorien understood.
Now that she had entered this state, The Ancient One would follow the path of an abstract god of time—Eternity.
Eternity embodied all of time across the Multiverse. It could manipulate any moment at will: creating, altering, and reshaping as it pleased.
If a single universe was like one high-speed rail, then Eternity was the entire global railway network. It could move or shift the lines however it wished.
That was the path The Ancient One had chosen to follow.
But she hadn’t come only to say goodbye.
Looking at Lorien, she spoke with gratitude.
"The crisis on Earth has been resolved. I can sense that an extremely dangerous disaster has vanished."
"So I came to thank you for your protection. But now, I must depart."
Lorien nodded, then shook his head.
"Go. I’ve already said everything that needed to be said."
The Ancient One smiled warmly, nodded, and then ascended.
Her figure rose straight into the ceiling and vanished.
Lorien didn’t mention the truth.
What The Ancient One had sensed as a vanishing threat was only because the Celestial remained a mere seed. She couldn’t perceive what came after, because that was already at the Universal-level—far beyond her awareness.
Even if she followed Eternity, no matter how strong Eternity’s dominion over time was, it couldn’t touch the timeline Lorien existed in.
The causal law of Silver Superman had already been locked. No matter how Eternity tried to interfere, it couldn’t move.
No matter which point in time Eternity traveled to, the Lorien it encountered would always be the Lorien at his strongest.
That was why Lorien felt at ease after gaining the Silver Superman Template.
Even the Phoenix Force, though Multiversal-level, might not be enough to defeat the Five Abstract Entities. Or rather, excluding Galactus, it might not be enough to overcome the remaining Four, since each of them wielded the fundamental rules of the universe.
...
For example, what if Eternity tried to kill his past self from three years ago?
Then he’d be helpless—unless he used the Phoenix Force to restore that version of himself. But that would barely matter. A weakness would still remain a weakness.
With the Silver Superman Template, though, Lorien had no worries.
Come at me? Then I’ll kill you right there, in the past timeline!
...
Later that afternoon, Lorien lay comfortably on a recliner.
Bella walked over, stood behind him, and slipped her index fingers through his hair to massage his scalp.
"Ahhh..."
Lorien let out a long sigh of relief.
The precision and pressure of her metallic fingers were unbelievably accurate and soothing.
Eyes closed, he hummed softly.
"Bella, your fingers have such strength and sensitivity."
Bella’s hands never stopped moving as she replied.
"Aria and I are made of nano-metal material. Our bodies can simulate any texture—human skin, organs, bark and leaves, plastic, steel... even stockings."
Stockings too?
Lorien was tempted to ask her to try a stocking-massage on his head, but that felt too perverse, so he held back. This was already heavenly.
As Bella’s hands worked on his scalp, shoulders, and the muscles around his collarbones, Lorien was nearly lulled to sleep.
It felt better than any massage tutorial he’d ever seen online.
Someday, on a proper rest day, he’d have Bella give him a full-body massage. That would be bliss.
...
Time passed, and before long, it was the end of the workday.
At exactly 5:00 p.m., Lorien opened his eyes, rose from the chair with Bella, and walked to the door.
Click—the lock slid shut.
"Beep beep beep~~~"
Just as he clocked out, his phone buzzed with an incoming call.
It was Hela.
He picked up.
"Hey, weren’t you off playing with Godzilla? Why are you calling me right at quitting time?"
"Uh... it’s not just me," Hela said. "I have a friend here too..."
A friend.
Lorien blinked.
Hela has friends? Since when?
Wait—"not just her"? Did that mean Godzilla had been exposed as well?
"You showed her the little guy?"
At that, Hela immediately sounded aggrieved.
"It wasn’t me! She just suddenly flew over and threatened me..."
Flew over? So she really did have some ability.
"She’s with you now?"
"Mm-hmm!"
"Then why are you calling me?"
Hela went silent.
She hadn’t wanted to make the call, but Devourer Girl’s fist was... persuasive. Besides, hadn’t they just agreed they were friends now?
So Hela handed the phone over.
"You talk to him."
Devourer Girl grabbed it.
"Hello, hello, I’m Galacta."
"Okay, you’re..." Lorien was ready to brush it off, but then that name hit him.
"Wait. What did you say your name was?"
"Galacta!" Devourer Girl blurted, then immediately realized her mistake. "Wait, no—I meant Gali!"
But what difference did that make to Lorien?
Galacta, Gali... either way, he knew exactly who she was.
He paused for a moment.
"Turn on video. Let me see you."
He was one step away from outright asking if her father’s name was Galactus—the Devourer of Worlds. Uncle Devourer. Planet-Eater. Take your pick.
