Chapter 130: Gwen’s Power Surges! A New Ability! Godzilla Makes the News!
Ikaris could not believe what he was seeing.
The beings he had worshiped as gods, the mighty Celestials themselves—one of their hands had just been cleaved clean in two by a single sword strike.
How was he supposed to stay calm after that?
And it wasn’t over.
Sensing its own impending death, the Celestial lashed out again, even with its severed hand, swiping down at Gwen.
But Gwen didn’t even acknowledge it. That half-hand wasn’t enough to slow her. Instead, she landed squarely on it—
Bang!
In the same instant, her body surged forward, accelerating so fast she vanished in a blur of black.
By the time Ikaris and the others registered what happened, a streak of dark light flashed—
"Boom!"
Gwen drove the Black Necrosword straight into the Celestial Seed’s core buried beneath the earth.
"BOOM!!!"
The ground quaked violently.
From the point where her blade pierced down, the earth collapsed inward, layer after layer of fractures spiderwebbing outward. Shockwaves ripped through the battlefield, hurling the nearby Eternals off their feet.
On the yacht, Lorien swirled the wine in his glass and said calmly,
"It’s done."
"So fast?" Wanda hadn’t even managed to see the follow-up. She rose onto her toes, straining to catch a clearer view.
But then—
Gwen began to rise, slowly, ominously, as if she were devouring the stars themselves.
Her body hovered in midair. From the heart of the broken earth, countless threads of energy burst free, streaming toward her, funneling into her body.
The meaning was clear.
The Celestial was dead.
"It really worked!" Wanda gasped, her face lighting with shock and joy.
That display of absorption meant only one thing—Gwen had struck the core true. A single slash, and the unborn Celestial Seed was annihilated before it could ever hatch.
Now she was drinking in the monstrous energy it had left behind.
Even incomplete, a Celestial’s power rivaled that of a Sky Father. Perhaps it even exceeded it.
Which meant Gwen was feasting on something beyond anything she had ever touched before.
...
As the Celestial’s energy bled away into her, the colossal body parts that had broken through the earth crumbled and collapsed. The power sustaining them was gone.
Once Gwen finished consuming it all, they would scatter like dust in the wind—like they had never existed at all.
Nearby, Ikaris dragged himself to his feet, his eyes wild.
"This is impossible!!!"
He roared before collapsing to his knees. At first he clutched his head. Now he clawed at it in despair.
Why?
This was the consequence of his faith shattering.
The gods he had lived for—gone. The hope of proving himself—gone. And now, instead of glory, the Eternals would face punishment.
He couldn’t accept it.
Meanwhile, Gilgamesh could only stare upward in shock.
"Fuck..."
He never imagined Gwen could be this strong. Strong enough to kill a Celestial.
Was she even human anymore? Or was she a god herself?
Titles didn’t matter now. Gwen had earned any of them.
...
When she finished devouring the seed, her power spiked sky-high.
Back during the Sanctum battle, Gwen had only had a chance at killing a Sky Father—if she could get close, if she could land a decisive strike.
Now it was different.
She might not yet reach Universal-level, but a Sky Father? That would be no more difficult than slaughtering a chicken.
...
At last, the storm of energy consumption ebbed.
Gwen opened her eyes, Black Necrosword in hand, suspended effortlessly in the air.
"Hm?" She blinked, stunned.
"I can fly?"
She tested it, darting forward a few times—yes, she could.
Her face broke into a grin, and she shot toward Lorien.
"Lorien, I can fly!"
Her voice never reached those on the ground—it was too far—but when they saw her soaring away, their thoughts were unanimous.
That one’s done.
On to the next.
...
Sersi let out a long breath of relief.
The phoenix tattoos had completely vanished from her arms. She lowered her head and whispered softly,
"Thank you... for your help."
And as Gwen’s absorption finished, the Celestial’s remains dissolved into the wind, scattering like ash, just as when Thanos snapped his fingers.
Knull had slain Celestials.
Now Gwen, with her Symbiote suit and the Black Necrosword, had done the same.
It was an inheritance of sorts.
Everyone who bore that power... had to kill a Celestial to prove it.
"No..."
Ikaris was utterly broken. His eyes were glassy, pupils unfocused, his entire spirit collapsing in on itself.
Sersi stood, looked at him gently, and said,
"I won, Ikaris."
The words hit like a death knell.
Ikaris froze, then slowly turned his gaze toward the blazing sun overhead. Without a word, he launched himself into the sky, flying straight toward the star.
Sersi was dumbstruck.
Now it was her turn to cry out.
"Ikaris! What are you doing?!"
But he gave no answer. He just kept flying, like a moth hurling itself into the flame.
...
Meanwhile, Gwen had just returned to the yacht. The problem was—she had no idea how to stop.
She wobbled midair, lost her flight control, and ended up tracing an awkward arc through the sky before plummeting straight down.
Wanda gasped. She immediately set down her wine glass and raised her hands, magic swirling, ready to catch Gwen.
But Lorien calmly reached out to stop her.
"Hm?" Wanda blinked at him.
"Don’t catch her. Give her a chance to look cool."
Then, without missing a beat, he turned to Bella.
"Pour another glass of champagne."
So while Bella poured, Gwen came crashing down.
She fell from high above like a streak of black shadow—
Boom.
At the very last moment, Gwen landed flawlessly: one knee and toes touching the deck, her other leg extended out to the side. Her right hand braced against the ground in front, her left arm raised slightly.
Only a soft thud echoed across the yacht.
"So cool!" Wanda’s eyes lit up.
Clap, clap, clap—Lorien even gave her a round of applause.
But the cool factor barely lasted three seconds.
Whoosh—
The Symbiote suit vanished from her body, and Gwen’s face broke into a bright, excited smile.
"Lorien, I can fly!"
"I don’t even know how—it just happened!"
"But I was actually flying! Why is that?!"
She practically bounced in front of Lorien, brimming with energy.
He raised a hand to stop her from clinging to him, then calmly took the champagne Bella had just poured and passed it to her.
"Cheers."
Clink.
The three glasses touched, and Gwen downed hers in one gulp.
Then she grabbed Lorien’s hand, tugging urgently.
"Come on, tell me, tell me~!"
"It’s bioenergy, you little dummy." Lorien flicked her forehead lightly.
"Bioenergy?"
"Bioenergy?" Gwen and Wanda echoed at the same time, both curious.
Seeing their expectant faces, Lorien sighed helplessly and began to explain.
"Bioenergy is the essential energy that keeps living beings functioning. Strong bioenergy means a strong organism. Weak bioenergy means weakness."
"But that’s just the most basic rule."
"Gwen, you’re different."
"Me?" Gwen blinked, then glanced down at her toes, then behind her at her own figure.
"I don’t look any different."
"I’m not talking about how you look—I’m talking about your bioenergy."
Lorien finished his champagne with a small sigh.
"The bioenergy inside you has undergone a fundamental transformation. It’s shifted from quantity to quality."
"You can now release it freely, like a jet fighter igniting its thrusters. The amount of energy you can output in a single second is equivalent to what a normal human would burn through in years of effort."
"But to you, it’s nothing. Because your bioenergy is practically limitless."
"On top of that, you’ve gained another new ability you probably haven’t noticed yet."
Gwen was still trying to process everything—just the realization that her strength had skyrocketed left her reeling. But the mention of a hidden ability made her eyes light up.
"What new ability?!"
"Bioelectricity," Lorien said flatly.
This time Gwen didn’t ask further. She pieced it together instantly.
"So that means my body has way more bioelectricity than normal—and it’s stronger, too. Which means I can actually use it in combat, right?"
Lorien nodded.
"Pretty much. But bioelectricity is more than just strong—it can temporarily boost all of your combat power, deal special effects when you hit someone, and even be released as long-range or area attacks."
"It’s kind of like an electric eel. Only far stronger, with way more applications."
Gwen’s excitement surged. She immediately turned her head toward Godzilla, who had just lumbered closer.
"Then can I zap him to test it out?"
Godzilla: ?
Lorien thought it over for a moment, then gave a slight nod.
"Go ahead."
"Be gentle, just shock its foot."
"Got it!"
Gwen nodded, then leapt dozens of meters, landing on Godzilla’s foot. She focused on channeling her bioelectricity.
Lorien and Wanda leaned on the railing, watching closely.
A moment later, Gwen let out a sharp hum, and a flash of golden light burst forth.
Zzzrra—!
In an instant, the current arced across Godzilla’s body.
"Roooar~~~!"
Godzilla’s bellow rang out—not in pain, but in exhilaration.
Gwen hopped back, staring at the beast’s howl, which almost sounded like a wolf’s cry.
"I got the electricity out, but what’s with the big guy?"
Lorien thought for a moment.
"...You basically charged him up with your bioelectricity. He’s just excited."
Right—Lorien remembered. Godzilla had a reactor inside him, something akin to a black hole. Gwen’s shock had essentially recharged him. Fed him, even.
Seeing Godzilla’s thrilled state, Lorien waved him off.
"Go on, back into the sea. Come find me again once you hit 500 meters."
Godzilla gave a nod, then lumbered into the ocean until he disappeared beneath the waves.
Gwen lifted her hand again, trying out her bioelectricity once more.
Crackle crackle~~~!
Golden arcs danced wildly, sparking with sharp intensity. The power looked formidable—though still nowhere near the destructive might of the Black Necrosword. But that was expected. Bioelectricity was only a supplementary ability, not her primary weapon.
Watching Gwen play with her new power, Lorien asked,
"So, how does it feel? How much stronger do you think you’ve gotten?"
Gwen dispersed the current, thought about it, then shook her head.
"It feels really strong... but I’m not sure how strong yet."
"No rush. With practice, you’ll figure it out."
Just then, Wanda glanced at the clock and gasped.
"It’s already 11 p.m.!"
"What?!" Gwen froze. She was about to protest—it was clearly still daylight. But then it hit her.
Different hemisphere.
"Quick, Wanda, teleport me back!"
She grabbed Wanda’s hand in a panic.
"I promised my mom I’d talk with her today. If I don’t get home soon, she’ll be asleep!"
"I’ll handle it," Lorien said, raising his hand.
Snap!
In an instant, Gwen was sent back near her home.
Lorien stretched with a yawn.
"Alright, let’s head home too."
Snap!
The yacht vanished, returning to its hidden berth, while Lorien, Wanda, and Bella reappeared at their house.
...
Once home, Lorien first extended his senses toward Hela.
She was fast asleep in her room. Well... in every sense of the word.
Wanda had been planning to water Little Universe’s flowers before bed, but then she remembered she was still wearing the makeup Bella had done for her earlier. So she headed to the bathroom to wash up first.
Lorien watched her go, then told Bella she could do as she pleased. A moment later, he followed Wanda.
By the time Wanda had finished washing her face and stepped into the shower, the sound of rushing water filled the room.
Lorien quietly pushed the door open, weapon in hand.
"Ahh! Ambushing me again?!"
"This is what they call a winning move that works every time."
"You... you only know these sneaky tricks..."
"Hmph. Watch my gun strike like a dragon!"
"Ah—too deep!"
Outside, Bella noticed the bathroom door had stayed shut for quite a while. She and Aria exchanged glances, then picked up the watering can and went to water Little Universe’s plants instead. They even tended to Gwen’s sapling while they were at it.
...
The next morning, Lorien woke refreshed. After yesterday’s constant fighting, today he rose in a very good mood—nothing bottled up.
After washing up, he headed to the kitchen. Too lazy to decide what to eat, he simply waved a hand.
"Nora, same as yesterday."
"The same? You want yesterday’s again? I love it! I’d do this with Master every single day!"
"Shut it. Talk less."
"Ohhh, I love it when Master scolds me! Say more~!"
"...???"
What the hell.
This fridge was seriously deranged. Honestly, even a real succubus wouldn’t be this much of a succubus.
Rubbing his temples, Lorien called out to Aria.
"Bring it later. I’ll take Bella downstairs first."
"Yes, Master."
...
In the office, Lorien collapsed onto his chair with a long exhale.
"Phew..."
Finally, he felt like he could relax.
He turned on the TV.
"Last night at 8:49 p.m. New York time, a simultaneous earthquake struck worldwide! What caused this?!"
"A global quake!? Could there be a hidden civilization beneath us?!"
"Satellites captured images of a giant monster swimming through the ocean! What kind of creature is it?!"
As expected, news of last night was everywhere. Even Godzilla had been spotted. With its sheer size after surfacing, it was inevitable.
But Lorien wasn’t worried. They’d have to fight on Cybertron eventually—being discovered was just a matter of time.
"Right..." Lorien suddenly remembered something.
"That means the Transformers already hold two Infinity Stones, right?"
Bella shook her head.
"Three, Master."
"Three?" Lorien frowned. He recalled only the Power and Space Stones.
Bella explained, "The Collector voluntarily handed over his Reality Stone to the Elder Transformers for joint research."
"So now, the Transformers civilization possesses three Infinity Stones."
Good lord.
There were only six in the entire universe, and the Transformers already had half.
Currently, one was with Stephen, one embedded in Vision’s head, and one resting at the Place of Sacrifice.
If things went according to the original timeline, Thanos would go to the Place of Sacrifice first, then target the last two.
As long as Thanos could get his hands on even a single Infinity Stone, there was still the slightest sliver of hope.
After all, Thanos was notoriously stubborn—across the entire Multiverse, he was the kind to fight to the bitter end. He would always find some new method.
At that moment, Bella reminded him,
"Master, the Asgardian refugees have arrived on Cybertron."
